Hiya, yeah 'Back on Blossom street' is by Debbie Macomber, she wrote 'The Shop on Blossom Street' and 'A Good Yarn' this is the third book I am reading now and it is really good :D I would be happy for you to have it after I have read it if you like?

  10. Hey all, I have just finished reading 'Remember me?' by Sophie Kinsella yesterday and I must say, its probably one of the best books I have read in a long time. I finished it within 2-3 days The blurb: 'Lexi wakes up in hospital, thinking she's twenty-five with crooked teeth and a disbelief, she learns it's three years later - she's a super-toned twenty-eight year old, her teeth are straight, she's the boss of her department - and she's married! To a good looking millionaire! She can't believe her luck - especially when she sees her stunning new loft apartment. And she'll defiantly have a fantastic marriage once she gets to know her husband again. He's drawn up a 'marriage manual' which should help. But she soon realizes her perfect life isn't all what it seems.. Her old colleagues hate her. A rival is after her job. Then a dishevelled, sexy guy turns up... and lands a new bombshell. What the **** happened to her? Will she ever remember? And what will happen if she does?'

  12. thank you everyone, I have put alot of them on my to read list
  13. I have just finished this book this afternoon and I thought I would share my views. This is a type of tragic life story, some people think its 'sick' to read these kind of stories but I feel drawn in somehow and I find myself reading and learning a lot more about people. The book is about two young children and how they cope throughout life, their father abused their mother when they was younger and eventually ended up killing her. It focuses on their feelings about life in general and how people treat them for 'being different'. The book gets its title 'No one listened' because throughout the story, no one was interested in their feelings or what they had to say. They ended up getting moved around so much to different care homes and foster parents. The oldest child (Isobel) has her mind set on going to university, but no one believes in her and seems to judge her because she is in care, it shows her she proves people wrong and shows how being in care has no effect on you being normal.
  14. Thanks for your recommendations chesilbeach next time I am at the library, I will see what I can find
  15. I have just seen this movie and it was awesome!! When I first put it on, I thought it was going to be pretty rubbish but I really enjoyed it! The plot was kind of strange, theres an underground city that has been made to help mankind, when it is being made, they only make it so it lasts for 200 years. They put all instructions of how to get out etc. when things go wrong in a box which can only get opened in 200 years after the city has been built. This box is suppost to stay with the mayors throughout this time but it gets misplaced. The story is about a young girl that gets her hands on it after the 200 years is up and she is trying to find her way out..
  16. Thanks for this, I am a fan of Meg Cabot although I haven't read any of her books for a while now

  20. I have just seen this movie and I really enjoyed it, has anyone else seen it? What are your oppinions?
  21. I've always really enjoyed reading, its a good passtime and very interesting. I quite like reading about other people
  22. Yeah thats the thing, when most of the stories in these books happened, there wasn't alot of help anyone could have so thats what makes it worse... it just shows how much things have changed now
