Daniel's perfect. He's the right amount of nerdy-mixed-with-dashing-looks and nerdy attitude with military man.
-
It's both. I love guys with long hair and glasses, but the fact that Daniel is a nerd who rambles all the time, is particularly specfic/logical/pedantic makes him hot even when he's got shorter hair.
Loooooove him.
-
Pish, who needs Daniel Jackson when you could have Rodney McKay?!
Daniel's hot.
-
Oh I love Edward. He can come stalk me anytime.
-
Also, can I just say:
The scene on the Biology trip, when Bella goes, 'well you don't answer any o my questions, you don't even say hi to me.' And Edward kinda rolls his eyes a little and with a tiny smile says, 'hi' very meekly. IT'S SO CUTE! It's the cutest thing in the entire movie!

I'm watching Twilight again - in fairness, Rob's a great actor. Edward is so far removed from Rob's actual personality, and Rob hated the character after reading up on him - it must have been difficult to act the part.
And yuss, poor Wilson. I always get upset when he loses him.
-
Castaway is also superb. There's nearly always some little metaphor in his more serious movies. I love the crossroads at the end o Castaway.
-
He's brilliant, I don't like his earlier work, but he is great. I love You've Got Mail.
I want to randomly meet a guy (who owns a bookstore chain) online and then end up dating him.
Sleepless in Seattle is also awesome - I love Meg Ryan too, I have to admit.
-
Just had a sandwich.
-
Hmph.
And again I say, hmph.

I think it's a work of art in the same way that Lost In Translation is. Both are indirect commentaries on life, and theres nothing more I love in a movie than an intellectual interpretation of life.
-
I try to pretend the 1st scene doesn't happen. The second scene is brilliant. And to be honest, I think Rob does the smirking thing very well. He totally captured all the key elements about Edward in my opinion, the velvet voice, the smirking, he generally just comes across as being a bit different.

I'll update this this weekend, I promise.
Michelle, you are to chase me with a stick if I forget!
-
Has anyone mentioned The Terminal?
I love that movie. I watch it regularly.
-
Hell I still read kids books.
-
The baseball scene is the best scene I've seen all year. Bar none. Muse and vampires playing baseball? Who needs drugs?
-
Rawr - because I b*tch about it all the time! And I STILL think it's, at best, enjoyable in the same way that Twilight is (i.e mindless, arguably worthless fluff.) However, it's well written, and I have to admit I'm enjoying it. SO far.
-
I'll get to them all in time! Course, other books take priority, but I've done a lot of serious reading lately, so once I get through my two review books I might re-read something for the sake of something a bit lighter.
I'm going to watch the Twilight movie again now I think
-
I love Twilight. I must re-read them all.
-
Oi, you got a problem with Daniel Jackson??
World needs more nerds like him. <3
Also, read back over that post - you should check out Voices, I reckon you'd appreciate it.

It's basically three or four short stories illustrated by different artists, some were good some were not so good, but it's worth a read if you like Star Trek.
I've also recently seen some test footage from a Manga version of Doctor Who someone is doing, with the Third (Pertwee) Doctor, it looks very good, I'll see if I can find the link.
Hehe that is so awesome there are no words. Star Trek meets Japan. Oh dear.
I love Star Trek. OMG they need to do a Stargate one! I'd pay to read that. Daniel Jackson in graphic art form - how cute!
I agree, Angel Sanctuary has some of the most beautiful drawings I've ever seen.
*Thumbs up*
On a side note, regarding anime:
If anybody wants a superb 25 minute intro to anime type things, check out something called 'Voices Of A Distant Star'. It's a bit sci-fi-ish, it's a bit romancey. It's basically about a girl who goes into deep space to fight a war, and her only communication with her best friend is via texts that take increasingly longer lengths of times (weeks, months, and then years) to reach him. It's very artsy, very heart-wrenching, and simply beautiful.

The hair was pretty hilarious in the movie too
-
The doll is surprisingly Edward-esque!
-
Wuthering Heights.
And, funnily enough, talking about characters that stay with you - Dustfinger, from Inkheart. I know nobody likes those books, but nobody else I know whose read them has ever commented on Dustfinger, and I think he's an absolutely genius character (given his context of children's books.)
The fact that he's given an opportunity to meet his author, his god - and the whimsical way in which that god mentions how he killed Dustfinger off for the sake of drama.
To me, that's just, immensely deep for a children's book. Or, the implications are, anyway. That will always stay with me.

I didn't like Jacob until he was hot in the movie, but I've always loved vampires so all the Cullen boys were winrars from the start.
