Iggy Pop!

Yeah I knew that alright. I'll have to get that Lust For Life album.
-
The song on that advert for something or other is sung by Iggy Pop. I love it. (The Passenger.)

Would you care to tell us more of your own thoughts, why you liked it, anything you didn't like, etc? Just providing the blurb makes your post sound rather promotional.

I did no reading yesterday, but my brother did finish the book I'm re-reading (the first in the Coldfire Trilogy) and he approved! I've given him the second one now.
-
I'm glad you enjoyed it Janet! I feel more inclined towards picking it up now.
-
I'm slightly different - if I buy a book in fair condition and really like it, I'm happy to replace it with a shiny pretty version I'll never touch, which will therefore stay in great condition. If not, I don't mind it being worn, and if I get a shiny book, I won't allow it crease or anything whether or not I like it
I'm so pedantic

I had just a sandwich today, and theres pizza or sausage rolls if I want them over the next couple of days

Oooh The Historian! *Jumps up and down*

Princess Tutu!

I plan to read more non-fiction too, in the form of biographical and autobiographical work in particular.

Too Close To Home is brilliant, I flew through it! I bought No Time For Goodbye first and couldn't really get into it, but I flew through the second one so it might just have been an absence of mojo the first time, and I'll be giving that one another go
I can't wait to hear your thoughts once you've finished Too Close To Home!

You can keep your sparkly beings in this weather, it's too cold!!
This thread is SO off topic.

Single twenty-something extroverts with glasses and a high I.Q for me please.
I don't ask for much do I?

Just finished watching Harvey - fantastic movie!
-
I did get it purely on the basis that Jim was in it, I love him

Communal grooming?! I'm so there!
Oh.... you want to read books, too?
...and Salem?
Oh I suppose we could do those things... if we must....

Haha okay. I hope you enjoy it.

I did very well last night, 55 pages of Black Sun Rising and 83 pages of my book about Oscar Wilde. Unfortunately since I had to go to Cork today, I couldn't get any reading done. I have books here but when I have two on the go, I'd rather not start another.
-
I'm glad to hear it, that's reassuring!
I've actually not put it on yet, I must refill my hot water bottle and finish catching up with threads on here before I go.

This thread cracks me up
My mother (who is 5'1 and petite) is called The ____ Pixie, according to whatever she happens to be doing. Making tea - she's the Tea Pixie. Wearing lots of purple, she's the Purple Pixie. I think when I catch her tidying the house I'll have to call her The Archive Pixie
Thanks Kell and Archive Pixie, a tidy forum is a happy forum.

'Harvey', a James Stewart film I haven't seen before

I just had a sandwich I picked up on my way to Cork, didn't feel well enough to eat that when I got here let alone cook anything.

Will do!

Actually, these threads are as much for the PLENTY of people yet to read the books, so cover spoilers in future, please.
