  1. I have a serious craving for a burger.... so I'm going to make one. Sigh.
  2. I know! They're terrifyingly large but strangely compelling! I want a giant Wagon Wheel.
  3. Well, so did these people! 20 pages of super-sized snacks! Giant Wagon Wheels, Twixes, Kit Kats, Easter egg sized Creme Eggs, Freddos, the list goes on and on! I spent ages today looking through all these, and I'd love to try them out!
  4. I really wasn't a huge fan of the regular Point Horrors - Point Horror Unleashed was where it was at. Catchman, as I said earlier in the thread, remains one of my favourite books to this day for it's depiction of insanity.
  5. The ending is brilliant. That's what you get. HAHA. Cute bird though.
  6. Wooo congrats Laura!
  7. Yeah you'll watch the Exorcist on repeat but a cartoon Iron Giant scares you. Don't look now, but Reagan wants you. *points* Also, for me, The Exorcist. Rawr and I have spent many a night psychologically torturing each other talking about Reagan sitting at the foot of the bed and so on. It scared me prior to that, but I actually couldn't sleep those nights.
  8. That sounds awesome! I'm interested in all ancient life, human cultures, animals, the evolution of both, so that book sounds right up my street! Thank you
  9. Avril Lavigne. It never ceases to amaze me how amazing a singer she is. Strip back the sillly image, pop music and backing tracks - give her an acoustic guitar and a microphone and watch her sing live - she has one of the most beautiful, powerful, flawless voices I've ever heard. She's also better live than on record. That song, done like that, always sends a shiver down my spine.
  10. I got "How To Build a Dinosaur - Extinction Doesn't Have To Be Forever", the newest book by Jack Horner, a well known Paleontologist (if only for his work as technical advisor on the Jurassic Park movie).
  11. Random Star Trek TNG episodes.
  12. I don't choose. I used to exercise common sense and decision making skills with regard to books, but now I just read them all at once At the moment I'm reading three books, and there's another three I want to start. I'm trying to plough through the three I have going because I think my brain just might explode if I read six at once! I also want to re-read a LOAD of books.
  13. Dinner with chocolate in it?! You don't mind if I pop round for dinner at yours do you?
  14. There's a very unloved thread about Point Horror here, feel free to show it some love
  15. I need to learn to make brownies. Fairy cakes are great and all, but brownies are chocolate cake with chocolate cream and chocolate icing. So much chocolate!
  16. Depends.... if I mosey to the shop, maybe pizza. If not, maybe roast potatoes & BBQ chicken steaks? I should probably stay home, shouldn't I?
  17. Tuna and cheese on brown bread, water to drink. I had a craving for something insanely savoury, and it doesn't really get less sweet than cheese, tuna and water!
  18. I don't get it. At all. Not on the basis of the gratuitous neurosis that constituted Norwegian Wood.
  19. "I would like one New Moon DVD, no special attachments please. Just the disks. In a standard box." "Sorry, nobody makes those. We have this lovely gold plated metal box hand-engraved by somebody who ACTUALLY MET THE ACTORS OMG with the likeness of either Edward or Jacob for only $250." " >_> "
  20. He has a third book?? I thought he only had two!
  21. Star Trek: The Next Generation This show is like the comfort food of the tv world for me.
  22. Can I just point out, I don't FANCY Data. Unlike a certain somebody, I like my men to be capable of emotion. (Data wasn't til much much later). He's like a kid, only rather than being limited by inexperience and underdevelopment, he's completely bound by logic and limited abilities (like, said lack of emotion) in his attempt to understand the chaotic nature of humans, and yet he strives so ferverently to understand that nature, to become more human himself. He's like a walking, talking bit of Philosophy. And he's hilarious.
  23. Jealous?! Of Tasha?! She was so BORING and so NICEY NICE. Give me Ro Laren any day as well. Ahhh DS9. I still haven't seen it all. Just many, many episodes over the years, I have no idea of storylines etc. I love Julian Bashir & Garek. Brilliant pair. ANGEL ANGEL ANGEL! I've never seen Farscape, so I'm completely inclined towards Angel.
  24. I also love how far removed Brent Spiner is from the character of Data. Brent is SO sarky, pedantic, witty, etc that it sort of adds to Data's individuality and authenticity as a personality that he's nothing like the actor who portrays him. Man. That's so awesome. I'd nearly marry him on those grounds alone. I love Daniel Jackson. He's just such a cool guy, and I love how he starts out as a nervous, long-winded nerd, but over the course of the series actually turns into quite the occasional badass while retaining his lovable nerdiness.
  25. I just want to say that, in the TNG episode 'Cause & Effect', (the time loop one) I NEVER fail to laugh during: I have the weirdest sense of humor.
