  1. I love both! There's nothing better than browsing in a bookshop but I love the availability on the internet. My local Waterstone's is gorgeous and massive so I do love going in there . But Waterstone's is so expensive and they tend to be a lot cheaper online. Play.com for me!
  2. My book journal has a section for writing quotes so I've only just started doing it.
  3. I did consider buying The Stuff Of Nightmares but I was put off as I assumed it was for younger readers. I really do hope she writes another YA series.
  4. Even though I'm a fan of the HP's, I'm not even tempted to try this. I'm not sure why. So, I can't really comment on whether you should continue but it doesn't appeal to me.
  5. I am thrilled! I'm so glad that more people are going to read them, as you've probably guessed, I think they're amazing. I said in another thread that people are going to think Dan and I are working together to promote the books! We're not
  6. I honestly wouldn't blame anyone if they suspected that! We do go on about it enough *Shuts up*
  7. Heyy! :D Good luck with your exam tomorrow. I have a group presentation tomorrow and I'm absolutely dreading it, I'm so terrible at public speaking. :ontome:Because of that I haven't made much progress with The Book Thief which sucks because I'm liking the writing style, so original!

  8. Haha, I can imagine. Luckily, I read them over a six year period else I would've suffered from a lack of sleep too. Although, that did mean that I had to wait years for the next one to be released!

I know, she really is a great author. I just wish that she would writte more novels suitable for adults. All her other ones are for children and young teenagers.

As for another after Double Cross, I read an interview with her in it and she said that she would never say never about doing one. But I don't think it's a definite. I do think she's left it so that another could one could be written but we can only hope! :)

  9. Hey! How are you finding Double Cross then?

  10. People are going to start thinking that we're working together to promote this book. We're not, honest!!
  11. I have to agree with that, I like books that offer a little bit of variety. My favourite book can't really be put into a single genre as it has a mixture.
  12. I've not read any of her work. I'm just glad that Thanks For The Memories didn't win. That's not even worthy of being shortlisted!
  13. No, neither do I. But then, I think that might be because I don't like Orlando Bloom at all.
  14. I agree, he is great as Jack Sparrow! I only like the first one though.
  15. In the film, I can't stand her! Sign of a good actress, I think. I know I hated her in the book too.
  16. I agree. The Order Of The Phoenix is probably my least favourite too. It's also one that I found to be really forgettable.I do quite like the film adaption of it though.
  17. I get really bad headaches if I read for long periods in the car. Although, that doesn't usually stop me from doing it!
  18. Wow, there really are loads coming out!
  19. Thanks, Kell! I think I might add this to my wishlist.
  20. Hello! Welcome to the forum.
  21. There's a bookring on this at the moment. I'm not sure if you're willing to participate in one but I figured I'd tell you anyway!
  22. I have to agree with everyone else, your ones are amazing, Angel! I'd love to try cross stitching at some point. I did plan to buy a starter magazine of some sort yesterday but I didn't go into town. I think I might in the week!
  23. Thank you :). I haven't actually started The Book Thief yet; I've been so busy and I have an assignment in for Wednesday but I can't wait to read it. Everyone has such great things to say about it, I'm sure it's going to be an amazing read! What are you currently reading?

  24. Thank you! :) I'm ok thanks, how about you?

  25. Hey, sorry for the late reply. I've had such a crazy weekend! It was my flatmate's 21st so we went out Friday and had a house party last night, I feel so ill! I'm not used to it, I'm such a **** student.

About Wuthering Heights, Phoebe was reading it for a literature class and she was talking about symbolism. I'd love to try reading that at some point, I'm just not sure if the writing style will appeal. I'm ashamed to admit, I've never actually read a classic!

I haven't even started The Book Thief yet and I doubt I'll make much progress with it as I've got an assignment in for Wednesday. You have work in for next week too, don't you? Or an exam? I remember you mentioning something like that! Good luck with both. :D
