  1. Urgh, that sucks. I try and make time before bed but I go bed so late that I'm always exhausted and don't get much reading done. I've been reading The Book Thief for what feels like ages now, I just haven't had the time!
  2. Aww, mine too. Due to essay deadlines and exams looming. Even so, Testimony is a fairly quick read.
  3. This could easily be read in one session. Look forward to your thoughts on it.
  4. I've seen the film I Am Legend and have the book on my TBR pile. Will Smith is my BF's favourite actor and he thinks that I Am Legend is one of his best films. I did enjoy it but I didn't think it was anything special. I'm looking forward to the book though!
  5. I've not finished The Book Thief yet but I must confess that I wasn't immediately hooked by it the way others seemed to be. However, it did pick up and I am enjoying it now.
  6. Maybe beef hotpot, I'm not sure yet!
  7. I'm sure you'll have lots to contribute, there's something for everyone. Welcome to the forum.
  8. I had sweet 'n' sour chicken with rice.
  9. :5birthday::party:

(I know I already wished you Happy Birthday but I really wanted to use these!) :D

    Have a great day!

  10. Happy Birthday! :)

  11. I loved these books. Read them both this year and they both made me cry. Testimony is the best I've read in 2009, I've only read 8 so far though.
  12. Ohh, you're asking about the Twilight bookmarks? I'm so silly. I thought you were asking about the one I bought today. The Twilight ones are from Ebay. We've emailed them but we've had no reply!
  13. Ooh no, I didn't buy it online. That was just to show you guys what it looked like. I bought it from the shop 'Paperchase'.
  14. I haven't heard of them, but the bookmark is very cute!
  15. The Twilight bookmarks which I ordered about 3 weeks ago still haven't arrived. So, I treated myself to this: Clicky!
  16. No, On Chesil Beach will be my first by him. I'd heard quite a few positive things about it so figured it was well worth a try! If I enjoy On Chesil Beach then I'll probably look at a few others by him. But thanks for the tip about him being a bit inconsistent! I'll keep that in mind.
  17. So there are others like me! You're not the only one
  18. Oh good, so I'm not the only one. I can't imagine not having a current book to read. The time between books is usually less than an hour. Any longer and I just feel a little lost. How sad is that. :cry2:
  19. I'm currently reading The Book Thief and am also finding it to be a great read. I'm only about 150 pages in though. I wish I had more time to read it!
  20. Ooh, to add, if I'm ever going home for the weekend, I always have to take two books with me. Even if I won't finish the first one, I need to have a second one, just in case I do!
  21. Oh, well if we're being specific. I've only read the last Harry Potter once and have also only read the last Noughts & Crosses (Double Cross) once.
  22. Wherever I live, I usually have my TBR pile with me, my favourites and books that I have enjoyed. When I came to Uni, I had about 50 books which I brought with me. That's now increased to 150+! I wouldn't feel right without having my Noughts and Crosses series in my room. The only series that I do leave at home, is my Harry Potter's! When I go on holiday, I usually take two books to be sure but I rarely do any reading on holiday so I never end up reading them.
  23. I've read the Twilight saga twice, the HP's numerous times and the Noughts and Crosses series loads too! I don't think there's a stand alone novel that I've read more than once though.
