If any of you guys look these up be prepared: this list is eclectic and varied. Lets just say i'm a massive fan of music, not just a type of music. And i love to find bands out there that are just clever and fun, not just crowd pleasing. Although i do love the crowd pleasing type as well.

That I failed my Literature course which I did with the Open University. I know it was heading that way and I didn't do anything about it. So literally, what bugs me is myself
I'm sorry about that for you Chrissi.
Sometimes the worst thing is a deadline. And if your not feeling like you can cope or do it, it doesn't matter that the deadline is there. In fact for me, it makes it worse. I tend to bury my head a lot. It's my way of coping. But then i'm really fed up with myself when i let someone, or myself down.

I will hopefully read this some day. I have always meant to read it for as long as i can remember, but for some reason it just hasn't happened.
I love the animation adaptation of the story. And i love the song Bright Eyes.

Hello and:17: to the forum.

Recently me and my Husband, ben, have started going to the park and having a picnic and then afterwards reading. When it's sunny we put the blankets and cushions on the grass. When it's wet we sit inside our van (which is a big transit), with the doors open, on the blankets and cushions and read there. I have to say it is becoming one of my favourite places to read a book. It's so cozy and i love the fresh air and scenery.

I have recently read Louis Caroll books for the second time.

I have amended my post and i have only read 1 more on the list since i sent it! I do have some others on my TBR list and shelves though.

I just couldn't get into this book when i read it, so i didn't finish it. Maybe it just wasn't the right time, coz looking at it again it seems like the sort of book i should and would enjoy.

I managd to reading both the Alice's adventure's in wonderland books in one sitting. But that isn't that impressive really. It's not taht hard to read of anything like that.

I put contemporary lit. However my fav book of all time is Persuasion by Jane Austen. Strange huh?

There's some really nice houses down the canal. I desperately want to live in one and they're building some gorgeous ones there but they're far too expensive for me (unless I win the lottery ).
I'd rather live on the canal on one of the boats. When i can be bothered learning how to put pictures on here i will show you the boats i have holiday'd in and the views. Beauiful! (sorry for being lazy)

Persuasion - Jane Austen
Our Mutual Friend - Charles Dickens

I am finding it really hard to part with my books at the moment. There are just to many good ones!

Awww jewell that is so sweet! Having just treated myself to a the snazziest, ultimatest edition of Hitchhikers that money can buy (five books in one plus a short story, bound in black leather with gold lettering and gilt edged paper) I am quite jealous... I want a DONT PANIC bookmark too!!!
I know isn't it great. I must say though, that book sounds fantastic! Do you mind if i ask where did you get it from and how much?
You could use a towel. That way you'd know where it is.I love it!

Thanks for that review Gyre it sounds really good.

As I'm a veggie it's going to be crispy tofu which then gets covered in a ginger, mirin and soy sauce, with sweet potatoes and broccoli
You know, i used to be a veggie, and althought i eat meat now i do eat mostly veggie food. But i've never triend Tofu. I may buy some for next weeks meals.
We are going out to Bens cousins tonight. They are three young bachelors. So goodness knows what we will end up eating. You never know they may surprise us.

I have a second list pending the completion on the one posted here. I think i'll put this book on it. Which means i'll proberbly get round to it before the end of the next decade!

i started choosing books from their cover, it lead me from romance to true life to horror, it opened up my views and now read a varied selection instead of sticking ti what i know
Thats an interesting way to look at it. Instead of it narrowing you selection it widened it. I'll try that. I always read the back to see if it's the type of book i would read. But i guess the title and cover pricked up my interest enough to look, so maybe i'll give the next one a go.

I know that sometimes i may give a type of book more of a chance to grip me than i do others. Like if i have never tried any of that particular author's books. I know sometimes it can take a while to get into a new book. I find this especially difficult if i am reading a book with a unique layout, perspecitve, or style of writing. (e.g The Curious incident of the dog at night time)
Does An Author's Name Make A Difference?

I don't think i have ever been bothered by the name of an author. If they have a really obscure name then i may forget what to look for when i go out book shopping. But i usually take a notepad and pen with everything written in, everywhere i go.
