  1. I LOVE scones, but I have to confess that I have never attempted to make them. Perhaps it's my subconscious knowing that if I make them I'll eat them! My mum makes lovely scones, so I will seek out her recipes / methods this week for you.
  2. It should work through this link Kreader.
  3. I think your lack of attachment to the outcome is probably the healthiest and sanest way to be about it all Talisman. I'm glad this is now all done, you have done all you can to make things better, and it rests with others to sort it now. Enjoy your time of relaxation. Odd time for me at the moment, I am carrying out a time consuming preparation for decorating (stripping old vinyl wallpaper off TOO MANY walls!), and turning a felled ivy smothered tree into green waste and logs. Today I have visited my parents for lunch and am now relaxing, the decorating and tree can wait until tomorrow for me.
  4. Glad that you are feeling better. There's nothing like a spell of illness to make you feel utterly miserable. Great review. I am yet to read any Murakami yet ( ), but your review has made me think I should get on and read one!
  5. Some of them are super creepy, the 'under the bed' one is definitely a holy heck one. *gulp* Thanks (I think) for sharing!
  6. Don't all athletic mice and sloth take vitamin supplements for competitions?
  7. The packs are surely as big as the ones for the mice aren't they?
  8. How many sloth trainers would fit in a pack?
  9. Thanks for visiting, Steve. I think it makes a real difference to readers to interact with authors, and I know for myself that I will be buying and reading books from each of the authors that have dropped in this month. You have all 'sold' yourselves really well.
  10. I only just read you comments on my status! Oooo, a letter - can't wait. Re my avatar - I depserately needed something cheerful, and this was perfect.

  11. Happy Happy Happy Birthday! Have a cakealicious day. X

  12. I watched Quantum Of Solace at the weekend. Hadn't seen it before, but we sat open mouthed at the opening car chase scene, as we have driven that road in Italy! I think we may have driven along it a bit slower than Bond, and I don't recall any shooting - but definitely the same road!
  13. Who is your favourite character from the genre of Crime and Thriller fiction? It doesn't have to be from your favourite book or series, but what character (good or bad) have you encountered in your reading travels that has stuck with you? Who do you love? And why? Do you have a favourite good guy/girl and a favourite baddy? I have plenty of worthy contenders for this one, but I think on balance it has to be the character of Charles Butler, the multi-layered and completely wonderful genius from the Mallory series by Carol O'Connell. He is loving and compassionate with a sometimes naïve view of the world. He has with an achingly lonely backstory of being a boy genius, but he often has a profound and searing empathy for those he encounters. If I could 'meet' a character it would be Charles. I adore him. So, while I ponder a baddy I may think highly of, who is yours?
  14. Camelia Rose (I always see a Camelia in my mind whenever I see Camilla!)
