I'm sad my parents didn't call me ROONIL WAZLIB - i would have been so cool
Hey, from here on in you'll be Roonil Wazlib to us!
-
I have read both Alice Walker's 'The Color Purple', and Toni Morrison's 'Beloved', they are both brilliant reads, with so much discussion points.
I've not read the others Ashilet, but I think the idea for African American Women writers is a good one. A different kind of classic.

Hello Dreamyflo!
-
I just get impatient with the first ones.. I have no idea why
I think it's because the books get older. If you look at the first one, it is truly a children's book. The later ones are darker and older, the content deeper and enigmatic.

Ceinwenn, brilliant. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Is there no end to Mr Deaver's talents?
-
No preference. If the rhythm works, and the words speak to me, then whether it rhymes or not doesn't come into it.

I'm still just a High School student (I'm not sure there are many here. I feel immature, haha.) so my bookcase is basically filled with Twilight and Harry Potter (Don't worry, I've grown out of Twilight.)
Hello HJordan!
You'll find Twlighters and Potters here! You'll soon find your pile of books waiting to be read has grown beyond all recognition. You have been warned.

I'm not sure what to make of it all. I think it will either be brilliant, witty, clever and wild, or it will be an embarassing disaster for all concerned. I don't think there will be any middle ground with this!
I like that the author has a respect and admiration for Jane Austen.

I've just finished reading The Wee Free Men, and am about to start A Hat Full Of Sky. I love them!
I've read both previously, but couldn't decide what my next read should be from my ever towering pile, so I decided to not choose and read an old favourite!
