  3. I will never tell. If I don't look too hard at my book spending I can carry on doing it. If I tot it all up then I am just heading for trouble.
  4. 18? What a dreadful time she must have had. I'm glad it worked out in the end.
  5. Danielle Steel? I think a full and thorough book review will be required once you have read it! As I recall from my teen years, her books were pretty readable. Maybe that's teen me talking though.
  6. 'Being Dead' by Jim Crace dropped through the door today.
  7. Street Of Dreams ~ Guns 'n' Roses < < < < WHAT?!!!!!!!! Where the hell is my brain?! Me thinks I got my threads mixed up! Chesilbeach, your gracious use of my SONG as a link between films is gratefully received.
  8. An old episode of Eggheads. They are annoying me.
  9. The Nightmare Before Christmas
  10. 'The Book Of Lost Things' by John Connolly is an unusual and at times a little creepy read. The novella, 'The Turning Of The Screw' by Henry James is another creepy little one. This thread debates disturbing fiction and is probably worth looking in.
  11. My husband thinks I might! I have recently had to clear some more shelves in order that I had somewhere to stack all the books I have bought in the past nine months. I start with a wishlist and it quickly turns into a I-have-just-bought list. Oh well, we are made richer on the inside from all our reading ~ sadly it also happens to make us poorer financially.
  12. I should do an evil laugh here and tell you it's all part of the plan!
  13. The Beautician And The Beast
  14. I enjoyed 'Restless' too, although my absolute favourite book by William Boyd is 'Brazzaville Beach'. I will have to look out for 'Any Human Heart'.
  15. Gorgeous Kell. Lucky friend! How could she not be delighted?
  16. A peanut butter and banana roll.
  17. 'The Earth Hums In B Flat' by Mari Strachan arrived through the door today. I may be reading very little at the moment, but my TBR pile is getting taller and taller.
