  1. Hello Yoghurt.
  2. Danny The Champion Of The World is a lovely book, with gentle humour and sweet story and great characters. It would be a great one to read Janet.
  3. It depends for me. I have inadvertently bought a book that forms part of a series and then gone onto to get the rest, and then there's the continuing series aspect where I will get each book as it is published / released.
  4. 2. An atmospheric phenomenon (2) Northern Lights by Philip Pullman? 5. Ramblers enjoy taking one of these (5) ALong Walk To Freedom by Nelson Mandela?
  5. I was caught by this during the Amazon 12 days of Christmas. There were two books I had bought that turned up amongst the bargains. Darn it!
  6. A fantastic choice Inver. I adore this song. Fleetwood Mac's songs so often have multiple layers. Wonderful. A top Fleetwood Mac song for me (out of so many great songs of theirs) is Landslide I took my love, I took it down Climbed a mountain and I turned around And I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills Till the landslide brought me down Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love? Can the child within my heart rise above? Can I sail through the changing ocean tides? Can I handle the seasons of my life? Mmm, mmm, mmm Well, I've been afraid of changing 'Cause I've built my life around you But time makes you bolder Even children get older and I'm getting older too Well, I've been afraid of changing 'Cause I've built my life around you But time makes you bolder Even children get older and I'm getting older too Oh, I'm getting older too Awh, take my love, take it down Awh, climb a mountain and turn around And if you see my reflection in the snow covered hills Well, the landslide bring it down And if you see my reflection in the snow covered hills Well, the landslide bring it down Oh, the landslide bring it down
  7. Criminal Minds. I love this psycho stuff.

    Hey!

    Hello Angury.
  9. Graham Norton. I used to find him harsh and crude, but now I find that his brings his guests together in a lovely way (I still hate the tip back chair though). Brush or Comb?
  10. I have read a few John Simpson books, and can recommend them. He is a journalist and broadcaster and has travelled to so many places, his books make fascinating reading. Depending upon what kind of book you are after, Piers Morgan's books are informative and amusing ~ he is a sharp writer for sure.
  11. No, I gave my "I'm amazed you don't get it " look. It's not as darkly menacing as 'Clockwork Angel' was in parts, which allows the story to progress well. I think you'll enjoy it.
  12. Just the one word I can use here pickle.....WOW! That is beyond good....Like I said......WOW!
  13. Hello Devi.
  14. I tried to describe the premise of 'Mr Chartwell' to a friend and they just gave me a "Are you batty?" look. A brilliant and highly original read for sure.
  15. What is it with all these fab dresses being worn on this thread? Both you and your cous are wearing such cute dresses. "Hello BookGeek. Hello BookGeek's cousin!"
  16. Back again. I had another poke around at Nasa, and found this FABULOUS photo of Aurora over Norway. Now that's what I call green!
  17. I know exactly what you mean by this, but it really is a wonderful story isn't it?
  18. Reading it out loud is still reading it, so it definitely counts. I read The Chronicles Of Narnia again in recent years and loved it. They felt shorter than I had remembered, but just as magical.
  19. What flavour soup was it supposed to be VF?
  20. Good to 'see' you again Vladd.
  21. Bobblybear, I saw this a few weeks ago. They feel grass on their paws for the first time! How amazing and touching is that? Great song too.
  22. Hello Timmo.
