  6. Falling Off A Log ~ Tracy Thorn
  7. Linda Gillard! 'Emotional Geology' and 'Star Gazing' are two terrific reads. add onto that 'A Lifetime Burning' and 'House Of Silence'. We are talking real women, gorgeous men and gripping stories.
  8. Another One Bites The Dust ~ Queen
  9. Have just finished Jeffrey Deaver's 'Roadside Crosses'. As always from our Mr Deaver, a gripping tale.
  10. 5) Roadside Crosses by Jeffrey Deaver Roadside crosses are appearing along the California highways - memorials to deaths that have not yet occured (From back of book) This is another in Jeffrey Deaver's Kathryn Dance series. She is a Special Agent with the CBI specialising in Kinesics (body language). I have always enjoyed Jeffrey Deaver's writing, as he is deft at bringing characters to life, be they central or peripheral. In this story, the worlds of the internet and outsie merge and Kathryn is set to fathom how and why a young estranged teenage gamer has arrived at the forefront of their investigation into attacks on a small collection of blog posters. The lives we can all live in the cyber world and how we interact come under scrutiny in this taut and flowing tale. Mr Deaver never disappoints with his gripping and thrilling reads.

  17. Ain't No Sunshine ~ Bill Withers
  18. Absolutely! There are a few books out there that leave me baffled by their popularity, and some of them are incredibly similar in style to ones I adore. Sometimes that line between my trash and treasure is damned thin!
  19. What a wonderfully enigmatic message from Sir TP!
  20. Cry Me A River ~ Ella Fitzgerald
  21. I would call myself a Gaiman fan, but it really is a case of completely accepting the central premise for each of his books at the start for the story to 'work'. If it doesn't grab you straightaway then they can read as a writer trying to be clever, rather than actually being clever. I havent read Anansi Boys, but have read and enjoyed Neverwhere, American Gods and The Graveyard Book. How cool is it that we each enjoy different authors, books and styles of writing and can always find others that feel the same about them?
  22. I read 'Birdsong' a while ago and loved it, and I have no plans to watch the tv adaptation. Have to agree that Sebastian Faulks is a good story teller. Have you read 'Charlotte Gray'? If not, I would recommend it.
  23. My mojo dozed off for a day or two, but is now awake again and reading Jeffrey Deaver's 'Roadside Crossed'. I am engrossed already, so I reckon my mojo likes the cold weather!
