Finished Grave Sight by Charlaine Harris and loved it! It was an easy quick read. It flowed better than the Sookie Stackhouse books and made it difficult to put the book down! I'll have to continue with the series -

I've only had the foot ink for a few years now but I haven't come across any problems with it. Black ink tends to stay vibrant longer than other colours. The foot ink doesn't encounter much more ware than any other tattoo. The only time you have to be careful with it is during the healing process because it scabs over. Removing socks and putting on socks can peel of some scabs which in turn can take off a bit of the ink. But I never had that problem and I had to wear shoes every day with it for work. Lots of lotion is the key! My friends also have ink on their feet too and haven't had problems either! Hope this helped! What do you plan on getting?

I have a ton of ink! Very addictive! All have various meanings: The poem was my very first tattoo. Its a verse from the poem Dirge Without Music by Edna St-Vincent Millay. I got it in memory of family who have passed away. The flowers on my ribs are the favorite flowers of the important women in my life (mother, grandmother, aunt) The Ship is for my love of travel and adventure (I hope to travel around the world one day!) The anchor is a friendship tat between me and my 3 best friends (we each have one on our foot or ankle) and "Wilfred" is for my Grandfather. I have many more planned out, just waiting for money and time to get them done! Love ink! another pic one more pic!

I'm almost done Lolita by Vladimir Nabkov, about 30 pages to go. Not sure how I'm feeling about this one. The story and premises is really interesting but his style of writing irritates me sometimes. I find he's too descriptive which distracts me from the story. Eager to finish it and move on to an easier read. This weekend I picked up MORE books. I think I need to stop shopping, bought way too many this month! Picked up the following from a second hand shop: A Touch of Dead by Charlaine Harris Lost by Gregory Maguire Diary and Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison Say You're One of Them by Uwen Akpan White Tiger by Aravind Adiga Slam by Nick Hornby The Virgin's Lover and The Queens Fool by Philippa Gregory The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton Bel Canto by Ann Patchett On Chesil Beach by Ian McEwan The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd Woo! I love cheap books -
It varies by month but usually around $60. Sometimes more, and sometimes less than that. I spend way too much money on books!

I had ordered some books online with xmas money. They arrived last week: Room by Emma Donoghue, Please Kill me by Legs McNeil and Gillian McCain, Requiem for a Dream by Hubert Selby. I went to a used book store this weekend and got the following: The Flying Troutmans by Miriam Toews, Fall on your Knees by Ann-Marie Macdonald, Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress by Dai Sijie, The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera, Mirror Mirror and Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister by Gregory Maguire, Half Broke Horses by Jeanette Walls, and In the Skin of a Lion by Michael Ondaatje. My boyfriend bought me The Book Thief by Markun Zusak and The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne. And today I went to the bookstore and picked up: How to Lose Friends and Alienate People by Toby Young, Tales of Mystery and Imagination by Edgar Allen Poe, Le Petit Prince (french edition) by Antoine de Saint-Exupery, and Teach Yourself Essential German Verbs. An my mom picked me up a last minute xmas gift: Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk by David Sedaris. Whew! Thats a lot of books haha. Pretty sure I'll have more added to the pile tomorrow after browsing the second hand store. I'm going to need a new job just to support my book spending habits! haha
