I usually give the author a second chance but I wont immediately pick up another of his/her books.

I read one to two at a time depending on my mood.

If it can stand alone then i'll read it regardless of order. I prefer to start at the beginning of a series though.

I keep all of the books I buy. I have never sold any and I've only given away a few to friends but that was years ago. Im trying to build a library haha

I have a hard time not purchasing something when I am in a bookstore. 95% of the time i buy something lol

If i actually lent out books i would probably be a book nazi haha. When I was younger I had so many books wrecked or never returned..so i dont lend them out anymore.

I use bookmarks, receipts, random scraps of papers. I HATE when people dog ear their books haha.

Has anyone read this series? I recently fell in love with the HBO series True Blood. I found out it is based on a book series by Charlaine Harris. Im wondering if its worth picking up the series. from amazon: Sookie Stackhouse is just a small-time cocktail waitress in small-town Louisiana. Until the vampire of her dreams walks into her life-and one of her coworkers checks out.... Maybe having a vampire for a boyfriend isn't such a bright idea.

I have about 70 in my TBR pile..and it continues to grow. :S lol

I try to keep mine looking as new as possible and I prefer if the people who are borrowing them do the same but I am not super anal about it.

I get my books from Chapters. I like to check out their bargain section! lots of great finds for cheap prices

My parents have books all around the house but my collection is in my bedroom on shelves and in piles. I REALLY need to get a bigger book shelf.

Its a little mainstream but the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer is awesome! http://www.amazon.com/Twilight-Book-1-Stephenie-Meyer/dp/0316160172 There are four books in the series, all worth checking out! And its already been mentioned but i second Harry Potter! They're the books that really got me in to reading
