  1. I think it would be interesting if it went on to Mary's life and all that business with poor Lady Jane Gray.

Is that picture you are using from Lost in Translation? I love that film so so much!

Yes - it would be nice if it went onto Henry's children and their reigns too!

It is Lost in Translation :) finally iv found someone who loves the film too - all my friends hated it! :D

  2. I would really like to read this over the summer, but I have heard that it is very difficult and hard to understand!

    Has anyone had this experience?

What are people thoughts of the book?

    Himself let him unknown contain.

    For sure, circa Regna tonat.

These bloody days have broken my heart.

    That yet circa Regna tonat.

By proof, I say, there did I learn:

  4. Yes, I also agree! :D. I find them cringeworthy to watch either on TV or in the cinema. I went and watched Mamma Mia! with my sisters and mum, and was cringing all the way through it.

However, I do love Grease and The Sound of Music :D

I love the Sound of Music too :haha:

And I was cringing ALL THE WAY through Mamma Mia when I saw it!

  5. There was a made for TV adaptation a few years ago which was very good, it was a 2-parter as I remember so there was room for more detail than in the earlier film. Emilia Fox and Charles Dance played the new Mrs de Winter and Max and Diana Rigg was Mrs Danvers. She was very good but I still get a chill when I see the original Mrs Danvers in the Hitchcock film, must have been the lighting and being made in black and white that did it. The TV version is often replayed in ITV3, so it's worth checking out.

Thank you! I'll look out for it :D

  6. Yeah, he's such a fascinating character and seeing how his evil plot seeps into Othello like poison is brilliant, it's disturbing yet compelling. And some of his speeches are absolutely amazing to read.

I remember doing Othello last year at school and EVERYONE hated it and I thought it was brilliant! :)

Othello is definatly one of my favourites by Shakespeare!

  7. ...I also love the film directed by Hitchcock. This is one film which fulfilled my expectations and I've lost count of the number of times I've watched it (even my partner enjoys it).

Have you seen any other versions of Rebecca?

Iv looked out for other versions but havent seen any

  8. Am I right in thinking that the Haunted Airman was the same as the Haunting of Toby Jug? I think they changed the name for a tv adaptation. (could be wrong).

    Yea - thats right!

The BBC adaptation was called The Haunted Airman rather than The Haunting of Toby Jugg like the book! :D
