  5. hello... you ok????

  6. The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Rubbish.
  7. This is a follow up to Divas Don't Knit which I read earlier this year and enjoyed immensely and I couldn't wait to find out what happens next... From Amazon Thankfully I was not left disappointed. It was a joy to be back in Jo's world of wool, Lego and a range of wonderful characters which I have come to love. While it will never win prizes for most original storyline, it's a book with such a heart that it makes you feel warm inside and the lighthearted humour puts a smile on your face. Please don't let the knitting references put you off... I'm not a knitter, but I loved it. I just hope that a third installment is in the works.
  8. howdy!!!
  9. Kez Gray's Daisy books are a favourite here, especially Eat your Peas. We also liked Wendel
  10. I start one as soon as I can once I've finished one. I carry my book about with me & if I know I will finish it soon, I start carrying the one I will read next as well. It gets a bit heavy if they are on the thick side. I finished one today at lunchtime and was itching all afternoon for the work day to end so I could start my new one on the way home. Like KW said, the more I enjoyed it, the bigger my urge to start the next. Said that, there have been books that I wanted some time to digest, for example The Time Traveller Wife or The Kite Runner, but I started my next one by the evening/next morning.
  11. welcome from me too.
  12. I picked up this book as I was interested to see how little know life of Pontius Pilate's wife would be told. I'm glad I did and it was a emotive & thought-provoking read. Framed by the known history, Claudia story is spilt out through times of tragedy, joy and helplessness, and you can feel the luxury and well as the suffocation that she feels in her chosen live. You do not always feel sympathetic to Claudia, her lack of youth and fickleness comes across, but this makes her all the more human and not just a person in history. Still at times, it does stray sometimes too much into some kind of Roman chick lit and she becomes a little too 'woe is me' at times. The book really picks up pace when the couple are appointed to Judaea and some well-known characters come to the fore. This is where the real power of the book lies and could quite easily spent a few more chapters there and disappointed that we couldn't. All in all I found this a good roller coaster of a read.
  13. Ended up doing the Pork, sweet potato & apple Casserole, that was suppose to be for yesterday, today. Very yummy it was too. We had butterscotch Angel Delight with Dream Topping & sprinkles for pudding. Another guilty pleasure.
  14. Harry Hill's TV burp... I love that show.
  15. I love john... he just looks he's enjoying himself. Perhaps he was a little bit too happy looking for the tango, but I just think he's charming.

  17. Inspired from a discussion at work as someone admitted they like salad cream & peanut butter sandwiches , what are those things that you love, but are somewhat embarrassing, childish or odd??? Mine are cheesy 80s/90s pop, dipping pretzels in chocolate and playing hide & seek. just thought of another... High School Musical films.

No, I didn't take it, although I wish I did, but I know where it is. It's the Salt Lake Temple in Utah, and I thought it was so pretty picture. I chose it refects my belief as Latter day Saint (mormon) which is a big part of my life, but not throwing it in everyone's faces.
