  1. I don't work for them, no. But as a British person I feel I ought to apologise on behalf of this British institution. I don't see why this isn't available in non-UK countries, unless it's something silly and bureaucratic to do with the copyright or the broadcasting right of the actual production, or something else I know nothing of. It can't be anything to do with TV licenses because you don't need a TV license to watch stuff on iPlayer. I'd have thought they'd have embraced the opportunity to broaden their viewer base. After all, it is possible to listen to radio stations online from another country, and the BBC World Service is specifically designed for this. Ah well.
  2. Oh, well that sucks. On behalf of the BBC, I apologise.
  3. Difficult for me to say! But I don't see why, it's on a public website so surely globally accessible?
  4. You can watch it here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00dlpcj/ Legal and free!
  5. Hi, I was wondering if anyone was watching the new BBC adaptation of Tess that started airing on Sunday? I saw the first episode and thought it was pretty good. Gemma Arterton's performance was quite vivid and reduced me to tears several times... I haven't actually read the book so I'd be interested to learn how accurate the adaptation is and what others thought of it.
  6. Welcome to the forum :D

  7. Hi, Has she tried the Garth Nix books 'Sabriel', 'Lirael' and 'Abhorsen'? They're really good. Also, another Nix book called 'Shade's Children' is worth a read. There's a book called 'Exodus' by Julie Bertagna which is a weird blend of fantasy, post-apocalypse and cyberpunk that I enjoyed reading too.
