What?! Finns at your work? Cooool I'd say that in general the people over, say, 40 years probably have a really thick accent, the younger ones have had more time in school to learn the language and learn the pronunciation. I know quite a few people who you'd probably think are native English-speakers, even ones who don't study English at the uni.I'm gonna send you a good ...

... a lot lately, because it's been over 30 C for over a month or so, you'd feel right at home if you'd be here right now
I think it's an excellent thing, me getting used to the Aussie accent, no laughing at yours anymore I swear! I think if anyone's going to laugh at the other's accent it's you

Argh, now I did the same thing as you did a couple of days ago, I posted on my prof page!
Weird that you hadn't heard about the mosaic, it being in Sydney! And why would anyone not like coffee?? I think it's an inbred thing in Finland, we're a serious bunch of coffee drinkers. You have to be, to beat the long dark winter Heheh, I've been thinking about you a l...

I think it's also good training for me to get familiar with the Aussie accent which I've found a bit hilarious before. Now I'm growing more accustomed to it and it's really nice There's this one competitor who's got a really thick accent! It's not hard to understand at all, but I find it very hard to copy! You have to give me lessons some day xo

Morning Kylie! I thought I'd pop in and say hello since I'm up so late that it's the early hours over there Also, I wanted to mention that I've just started watching Biggest Loser - Australian season number don't remember! At first it seemed so different from the US one I thought I wouldn't like it but then watched on and I grew to like the people!

Hi Kylie, sad to hear you had a bought of insomnia a couple of days ago. If you want to talk, I'm listening *hug*
BTW, I just noticed in the news that some people in Sydney, Australia had made this huge mosaic of Marilyn Monroe, with like 5200 cups of coffee! It looked amazing, did you go see it? I know you like mosaics

Hiya dearest!
I'm good, how are you? I had such fun time at the chat room I thought I'd have to consciously avoid it for a couple of days, otherwise BF might feel abandoned haha Yesterday was busy going bookhunting here in Lappeenranta, had a real nice day. I've also been watching Profiler, excellent show. Whatcha been up to?

"Which book would you take with you on a deserted island, frankie?" -"Well the BCF chat room of course!"
-
Muah yourself! (knew it was a kiss)
I just told BF about the pants thing, he didn't know about it either. Then I remembered the phrase "I got ants in my pants" and started laughing hysterically. I'm glad BF is very patient with me and never thinks I'm crazy haha

Yay, you're here and won't be missing all the action!! We have a cool chat room as well, I'm loving it!
It'll sure take time to get the hang of things but I'm glad it's the weekend so we all have time
I've been great but busy with stuff, how've you been? I've missed you so much as well, it's so nice to be able to hear from yo...

Sure I want to know about swimming and stuff I was at my cousin's wedding this weekend and that's why I've been offline and haven't replied to you message yet. And I don't have time to reply it now either, I'm off to bed and will be getting up early to do my voluntary Ilosaarirock festival duties tomorrow, so I'll get a free ticket to the festival itself. I'll have to write you later
How was your weekend and how've you and the missus been?

Hi Abby! After reading the posts in the Rory Gilmore thread I should probably call you evil Abby No habanero for me thanks! My ass is a lot better now, thank you very much for asking. It was not so much fun yesterday though, I tell you! I had a very funny feeling in the tummy all Friday evening, habanero didn't agree with me at all.
How've you been? I've been a bit busy lately, BF being in town and hogging the computer.

Hehe, I've been also thinking about reading a book on the exercise bike but I think I'd sweat the book till it was damp I'm not kidding! Maybe I could bring in a tatty version of a novel I don't enjoy. Or wrap it around in see-through plastic bad or something I hope you manage it, do report back and give me your tips!

Hi Kylie, so nice of you to pop in and say hello
You don't usually see me up and around here at this time because I don't get up at 8 AM a lot of the time. The window was open all night for a change and I woke up early because of all the noise they're making at the construction site outside my window (they tore down two rows of apartment buildings and now they're building new ones to replace them). It was good though because I'd hoped I'd wake up early to go to the gym
Do you have any special plans for the weekend? I hope you have a good one, and get all the reading done you want And I'm glad you're going to pick up the Hornby book, I really really hope you enjoy it

Hi Abby, how've you been? I've just come to Joensuu and have my own lovely laptop again <3 Parents move was okay, pretty stressing for the first couple of days but Thursday was good and it was nice to hear them say they couldn't have managed it without me
Do you guys celebrate Midsummer in the US? Over here it's quite big, especially Midsummer Eve. Lots of bonfires, people going to their summer cottages, BBQ and all that (a little drinking as well )... Very lovely! And like I told Kylie, it's so light now that I can read without having any light on all night through if I want! That's Finnish midsummer for you! I'm soon off to meet with friends, to have a liquid picnic () and to play m
