Cool episode - what a git Owen was, I'm glad he went mental (but what did Annie say to him????) Am a bit worried that as he wound up at the nick Herrick might recruit him.....
-
Yes it definately needed a recap... my memory just isn't that good anymore...
where was I? Very exciting ending, and isn't it funny that Nathan's totally gone to the dark side? What do you think Sylar's dad is going to be like???
-
Ray Parker Jr "I ain't afraid of no goats" - genius!
(Think its for 118... funny that we lose sight of what they're selling sometimes)

Having difficulty seeing how some of these films will work with "original cast" as in several of them major characters die????
Also, even though they involve franchises I loved, if Indy & the Crystal Skulls is anything to go by, churning out too many sequels is not a good thing....
-
Agreed - brilliant episode! How about when Dean screamed like a little girl?
But what was with Sam's eyes at the end????
-
Possibly The Quincunx by Charles Palliser - 1248 pages
-
I used to write them all over my folders when I was a student (English Lit of course!)... I like the idea of the journal
-
The Pilo Family Circus - some really nasty /just plain weird stuff in there, but still riveting, it stays with you long after.... if you didn't have coulrophobia before, you will afterwards.
And agree with Louiseog about The Treatment

I thought this was a sweet little gem - so funny - but like Janet I was left a little unsatisfied... maybe because it was so short? I read it for a reading group and we didn't really discuss it for very long, other than the idea that reading changes the reader.

I loved Tell No One, and have since read a lot of other Coben books, most recently The Innocent, and whilst a page turner it just seemed to be a bit samey - man in trouble, beautiful wife, can't trust anyone....
-
I'm thinking something small and sneaky, like a mouse
-
The film probably lost tons of potential readers it was so disappointing. And its so sad we probably won't get The Subtle Knife - I loved Will.
-
Equal Rites by Terry Pratchett was good - especially as one of the main characters is a girl!
-
I preferred Equal Rites and Mort, then sadly got put off by the wizards.... maybe I need to return to Discworld
-
I have to watch it on the Sky + when hubby's out of the room.... Dean is just a little too much competition!
-
I hate to say it but I'm going off GA a bit.... maybe it needs some big changes??
And where's Kevin McKidd got to???? I like him, and its about time Cristina had some fun

Seem to be developing something of a minor obsession - just read Midnight Sun when I should really have been working! Love the bit in the first biology lesson where Edward is plotting how to kill as few people as possible! I must be warped
-
Well, Twilight has been my guilty pleasure/secret for the last week (I really am too old for this!). I enjoyed the story, and remembering first love - oh if only that feeling lasted!
Meyer's writing does leave a lot to be desired, though - all that staring and glaring, and lets not get to the repetitive descriptions of Edward's beauty (surely once or twice was enough?)
But I am hooked! Read New Moon in 2 days, and oh joy Amazon's just delievered Eclipse & Breaking Dawn! Might not come up for air for a while....
-
I loved it - even though there were some pretty disturbing parts - the Huntress, anyone? Reminded me of The Company of Wolves, which I loved as a teenager.... I must be a little bit warped

Actually, thinking again, I might like to swap with Thursday Next (from the Thursday Next novels by Jasper Fforde) for the day - then I could go into all my favourite books and meet all my favourite characters - that would be fun!
Yup - Ms Next was my choice too!
-
Crime and punishment - Leo Nikolayevich Tolstoy
Thought it was Fyodor Dostoevsky? Loved that book!
Pride & Prejudice - Jane Austen
Far From the Madding Crowd - Thomas Hardy
-
Everything from my fave books from childhood - Narnia! - to the classics I read at uni, the contemporary fiction my book group reads to my "guilty pleasure" thrillers and fantasies!
-
All those free "Year of Reading" ones from the library - we've got loads in my house now!
-
Kelley Armstrong has a new book out??? Cool - I want that too!

Bummer - clashed with new Heroes / 24 / Eli Stone (only so much TV I can fit in on one night!) And they don't seem to be repeating it on any of the ITV channels, although they seem to be able to rerun so much rubbish....grizzle
