  1. I really liked the switching of voice between characters/chapters. Have to confess I did find the doctor's opening chapter a little hard going (just a wee bit self important?) It's been a while since I read it but I do remember being very moved by the parts concerning the "giant" (was that Francesco or Carlo?) Forgive me for not reading again, I remember tears...

  2. Ooh I've just gone all giggly! I fell for Darcy when I read the book and then the beeb finished me off! Alas don't get a chance to see any of the more recent costumers as hubby's just not interested - so sad 'cos I hear Larkrise is great (as a completist I just can't jump in - from the first episode or not at all!)

  3. I loved the first 3 books, particularly Lestat although there were inconsistencies with Interview ( who was the old man Lestat claimed was his father?) I also read the Mayfair witch books but then went off Rice when she just seemed to be a little too in love with her own writing.... Still have unread copies of Armand and The Mummy! Maybe a return is due?

  4. Snap, amazing book :)

Me too! I loved that when I was little, and The Book of Brownies also Blyton.

Hmmm horror .... I think it was called Inside my Feet and it was a school library book when I was about 8 or 9, and I remember my teacher saying it would give her nightmares.... All about a little boy who's family is carried off by a giant pair of boots - well it was pretty scary back then!:)
