Hello and welcome to the forum. Love your avatar.
You can't beat a bit of Paddington can you?

I am reading this book at the moment, and am about three quarters of the way through. I seem to love it one moment, and am bored with it the next. I'll stick with it to the end and see if the resolution makes it worthwhile.

Thanks for the warm welcome!
Dr Newton was once attacked by a cat. It ripped his ear off. :-(

I enjoyed A Murder Is Announced, which was one of the first ones I read. Also, Elephants Can Remember, and Nemesis are both excellent, and not quite the normal country house set up of a whodunnit.

What a great thread! For me... I would say....
Severus Snape - Harry Potter By JK Rowling
Gummery - The Dark Is Rising Sequence By Susan Cooper (How bad was the film!?)
Jeeves - The Jeeves And Wooster books By PG Wodehouse
Captain Hastings - Poirot Stories By Agatha Christie
I am sure there are more...

Hello Everyone!
I adore books, which is a rather obvious thing to say since I signed up to a book forum!
I love lots of different genres, and live with my 6 robot dogs, one robot dinosaur and my husband in a house full of books.
I'm looking forward to chatting to you all!
Dr Newton, one of my robots, gets a bit worried about You-know-Who:
