  1. Haha, I was hoping you didn't feel like I'd just stolen your ideas. I'm not very creative when it comes to designing stuff like blogs.
  2. Just want to say that I really like your blog, and I hope you don't mind that I based my layout on yours.
  3. Great review Bethany, hope the readings coming along nicely.
  4. Glad to here it, I've got a blog and things now, but it's a bit unfair that I got the blog when I've not got as much time. Silly me. x
  5. Hey Gyre not posted on here for a long time, been quite busy. Hope the reading is coming along well.
  6. I'm pretty sure Jessica Alba wrote a book once. On a more serious not.. got to be Terry Pratchett, Eoin Colfer, Anthony Horowitz, or Jonathan Stroud. - Simply because we'd have a lot to talk about. Don't have a clue whether they're nice people or not, but I imagine they are. Jonathan Stroud I would certainly want to be stuck in a lift with.. basically because he emailed me a few times and seems nice, and I want to meet him anyway so why not in a lift!
  7. Starting. - Inkspell. (The Second Book in The Inkheart Trilogy). - Cornelia Funke. Bought two books yesterday for
  8. Twilight was gathering, and Orpheus still wasn't here. Inkspell (The Second Book in the Inkheart Trilogy) - Cornelia Funke.
  9. Yeah Firefox or Opera have the best internet browsing experience in my opinion. I abandoned Internet Explorer a while ago.
  10. Don't think I dream of books that I have read but I don't always remembered my dreams. Although, I do remember them more than some people.. and they always seem to be about friends, family, girl-friend..
  11. I think I'm about to take a picture of my book-case now. I have one already that I was supposed to put up.. but since then I've had about 50 books added to that in a box below the case.. so I want to get a pic with everything in. EDIT. - I took several pics, was easier. I'm attaching them to this message. I know they aren't very tidy.
  12. That was absolutely mind-blowing.
  13. I have this on my shelves somewhere.
  14. Ohh, I'll enter.
  15. Hey there, welcome to the forum.
  16. Yeah they are. Thanks, I love it.
  17. Ohh Ohh Ohh, just remembered this thread! I received an awesome bookmark from my Grandma lastnight! It's shaped like a B, and kind of clips on to the page. Infact.. I'll show you. I took pictures because I love it! Wooo. I attached them if anyone's interested. ETA. - Excuse the quality of the pictures, both taken with my phone.. second one seems to have come out badly, but that was just to show you all how my new super duper wonderfully amazing bookmark actually fits onto the page!
  18. Welcome to the forum!
  19. Got this on TBR. From the reviews it sounds like I'll be pushing it up the pile.
  20. I always watch, but never understand why as we never get anywhere.
  21. In it's influential editorial on the Road Hill murder, the Morning Post alluded to this case: 'That it should be a child [who killed Saville] would be incredible if Eugenie Plummer had not taught us to what length the wicked precocity of some children will extend.' Eugenia's precocity was sexual, but it also rested in her cool decit, her composure under pressure, the containment and chanelling of her disturbance into bare lies. If newspaper readers had been horrified to find a clergyman convicted of sexually molesting a child in 1859, they must have been more disturbed, a year later, to find the situation had been turned upside-down to reveal the child as the agent of evil, a creature who had undone a man's life with her lewd imaginings. The Suspicions of Mr. Whicher. - Kate Summerscale.
  22. Finished. - The Suspicions of Mr. Whicher / The Murder at Road Hill House. - Kate Summerscale. Review. TBR: 82. First book finished in about a month. That's painful, but horribly necessary if I want to pass my exams.
  23. First up, thanks you two for taking the time to look at the video. Well I have to admit that the MP3 is much better than the video on Youtube and it's a lot different (although not necessarily better) in comparison to Alyssa's. I'm not sure how to send MP3's to people other than through msn? So if you want to listen pm me your email address and I'll send it along.
  24. Ok, as some of you will know.. a while ago I wrote some lyrics for a song I called 'Every Second.' They're as follows: Lyrics. Through your beautiful brown eyes, See the world and watch the sunrise. Memories remain to show me what we had. We built our sky to lie under, built a bridge to walk on water. Built our love from the floor, Why didn
  25. I've read Airman by Eoin Colfer. - I think I remember being impressed.
