Right then, after reading the first book in this series and noticing on the cover that it has been turned into the hit series True Blood, I was wondering how the episodes are based in relation to the books. Is it based on the books in terms of if you were to watch the series then it would spoilerise the books? Does series one cover just one book, or more than one, or a mixture?

Just finished Dead Until Dark - the first in the series - not too long ago, and I just wanted to say that the series really does intrigue me, I shall be reading more. I was just wondering, do we get to understand the mysterious identity of 'Bubba' or am I just being really slow?

Just finished Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris and I have to say I am rather impressed. It was a fresh take on a vampire novel - I haven't read any other vampire novels other than Twilight and this was, without a doubt, much better. I loved the character of Sookie and I didn't get who the murder was until quite far into the novel, which is always the sign of a well written plot. I'll be definitely getting the next in the series whenever possible.

Off the top of my head I can't think of any but those Tad Williams ones that I have seen posted below are actually fantastic.

I'm currently one season down - seven to go. I absolutely love the show however and did manage to scrounge the first four seasons off a friend so at least I know whenever I get the time that they're there for me to watch. May I just say thanks to you guys for recommending, if it wasn't for you people I wouldn't have found my love for this show.

I've just watched season one, episode twenty of Gilmore Girls. Well that's season done and dusted, two starts tomorrow.

Well going into my 13th episode in the first series I think that this'll be my next challenge on my list.

Thanks Mona, haha. I had to search for it in the handy search thingy because like you mine never gets bumped with books read either. Thanks you two, I'm sure I will soon; it's just juggling school work, my Gilmore Girls watching time, in addition to my reading and writing time. It's a hard life. At least I know Dead Until Dark is popular around here and should be a good read when I get going.

Bought this not long ago in Smiths, just on impulse I picked it up. Seems like mixed reviews with the majority liking it. I'm thinking it'll stay high up on TBR for the time being.

Ooh what have we here, a neglected and lonely looking post.. what was I using it for again? Oh I remember now. Reading. That fantastic hobby that I never seem to get the time to do. Since my last post, all that time ago, I have started just one new book and got only about 50 pages or so into it. It is Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris and I know the series' is very popular on here so I am looking forward to getting into it.. .. when I get the time.

Aha to be honest I haven't been on here a lot recently, been busy with school things as well. But I came here to inform you first, when I came on. It's really really good.

I'm ten episodes into season one, love it, love it, love it!

Finished Breakneck lastnight. It was fantastic. Will be writing a full review when possible, but for now I'll just say I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Seems to be taking a while so it might be a few days yet, but I'll get back to you when I'm watching. Looking forward to it now.
