  1. I very rarely eat breakfast, especially during the week. When I do have it I tend to only eat toast and jam as I hate milk (I can only drink it disguised in a brew :tong:). The only time I have a cooked breakfast is when someone else is cooking .
  2. I'm not generally a fan of this genre but I read The Shape Of Snakes for one of my uni modules and I surprisingly really enjoyed it. I got The Chameleon's Shadow in a double pack with it, but I'm not sure if I'll read that. I also bought Acid Row which I hope to read in the near future .
  3. 11. Being Dead - Jim Crace Product Description from Amazon: Their bodies had expired, but anyone could tell - just look at them - that Joseph and Celice were still devoted. For while his hand was touching her, curved round her shin, the couple seemed to have achieved that peace the world denies, a period of grace, defying even murder. Anyone that found them there, so wickedly disfigured, would nevertheless be bound to see that there was something of their love that had survived the death of cells. The corpses were surrendered to the weather and the earth, but they were still man and wife, quitely resting; dead, but not departed yet. 4. I chose this place to live, believing that I would find anonymity among those who did not care if the plaster and glass and paintwork of rented houses splintered and decayed, who were not reproached by gardens gone to seed and rotting sofas. The Orchard On Fire - Shena Mackay
  5. I didn't finish uni til 9 so by the time I got home it was too late to cook so I went to the chippy and got chips, rice and gravy. Very yummy .
  6. Happy Birthday. Hope you have a fab day.

  8. Tonight was baked potato with cottage cheese, beans and salad. Yum.
  9. Happy Birthday Michelle. Hope you have a fab day.

  10. It's not sad, I'm the same . There's nothing better than finishing a book then putting it back on the bookcase and picking up a new one . I even carry a new book to read if I know I'm going to finish my current book soon, especially on bus journeys and at uni.
  11. I'm the same . It would be the end of the world for me if I finished a book and didn't have another to read. It happened to me once on holiday, but luckily my sister had a Harry Potter I could read. If I'm going on holiday I take about 3 or 4 books with me, just in case I'm not in the mood to read my current book. And it's good to be prepared in case the holiday is .
  12. Katie Price as a person sickens me anyways. I think it's kind of pathetic the way that she markets these books as her own, even though she probably can't even spell her own name never mind write a "novel", and there are thousands of fans who believe she actually writes them herself and pay good money to buy the books .
  13. I have one of those bookchair's too and it's fab for holding my books when I'm quoting from one in my essays - trying to hold the page open and type was getting to be a pain. And it's also handy for proping up my notes whilst I'm typing .
  14. I love the Churchill one with Roy Walker, you know "It's good, but it's not right. I ordered a korma". I crack up everytime for some reason (sad I know). I even got my 3 year old cousin saying it to everyone which is so funny .
  15. 10. New Moon - Stephenie Meyer Synopsis from Waterstones: I stuck my finger under the edge of the paper and jerked it under the tape. Shoot,' I muttered when the paper sliced my finger. A single drop of blood oozed from the tiny cut. It all happened very quickly then. No!' Edward roared Dazed and disorientated, I looked up from the bright red blood pulsing out of my arm - and into the fevered eyes of the six suddenly ravenous vampires. For Bella Swan, there is one thing more important than life itself: Edward Cullen. But being in love with a vampire is more dangerous than Bella ever could have imagined. Edward has already rescued Bella from the clutches of an evil vampire but now, as their daring relationship threatens all that is near and dear to them, they realise their troubles may just be beginning. 16. I've only caught the last 10 minutes or so of this. Wish I would have known it was on, I'm quite interested in programmes like this.
  17. I totally agree, especially the capitals randomly thrown into a word . I'm quite strict when it comes to spelling and grammar. Even in texts and on Msn I can't use text speak, and when I do text I refuse to use abreviations and have to double check that it is all spelt correctly.
  18. 9. The Shape Of Snakes - Minette Walters Synopsis from Waterstones: It is November 1978, and Britain is on strike. The dead lie unburied, rubbish piles in the streets - and somewhere is West London a black woman dies in a rain-soaked gutter. Her passing would have gone unmourned but for the young woman who finds her and who believes - apparently against reason - that Annie was murdered. But whatever the truth about Annie - whether she was as mad as her neighbours claimed, whether she lived in squalor as the police said - something passed between her and Mrs Ranelagh in the moment of death which binds this one woman to her cause for the next twenty years. But why is Mrs Ranelagh so convinced it was murder when by her own account Annie died without speaking? And why would any woman spend twenty painstaking years uncovering the truth - unless her reasons are personal ...? Started: 6th February Finished: 11th February 425 pages Rating: 7/10
  19. It's a lovely read, a bit sad at times and will probably make you shed a few tears. My main reason for giving it a 6 was because I felt that at times the writing was slightly poor and found myself re-writing the sentences in my head to try and make them fit better into the story - if that makes sense. To be honest, I thought it would be a lot better than it was, although you may love it. I'd love to hear your opinion once you've read it yourself .
  20. Absolutely. I think there's too much Jake in the second and fourth book to be honest which puts me off reading them, as sad as it sounds . It's also the one where Bella doesn't infuriate me to the point of wanting to throw the book at a wall . Do you have a favourite in the series?
  21. I read it the beginning of last year and fell hook line and sinker for Edward Cullen . I doubt this will be the last time I read it this year lol.
  22. 8. Twilight - Stephenie Meyer Synopsis from Waterstones: Bella Swan's move to Forks, a small, perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, Bella's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. Up until now, Edward has managed to keep his vampire identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Bella, the person Edward holds most dear. Deeply romantic and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight captures the struggle between defying our instincts and satisfying our desires. This is a love story with bite. 23. 7. Hey Yeah Right Get A Life - Helen Simpson Synopsis from Play.com: In this collection - Simpson's third - each short story complements the others in depicting the hectic, day-to-day whirlpool of women's lives, at work, at home, and on holiday. Confronted by situations ranging from excruciating to hilarious, there will be a high-recognition factor for many readers. Started: 26th January Finished: 3rd February 179 pages Rating: 4/10

  25. 6. Things I Want My Daughters To Know - Elizabeth Noble Synopsis from Waterstones: 'My beautiful girls. If you've read this, you'll know it contains some - not all, but some - of the things I want my daughters to know. And the greatest of these is love ...' How would you say goodbye to those you love most in the world? Barbara must say a final farewell to her four daughters. But how can she find the words? And how can she leave them when they each have so much growing up to do? There's commitment-phobic Lisa. Brittle, unhappily married Jennifer. Free-spirited traveller Amanda.
