  5. Hi Slim Jenkins,
  6. Usually one at a time. Except when I have a big book to read that I cannot carry around, then it will be 2 at a time - one at home and another one in the bag.

  12. I've finished reading it yesterday. I read it during my lunch hour for the past five days. Yes, it is sad like his other books.
  13. I've read one of her books when I was in primary school... that would be at least 20 years ago!! I cannot recall the title but it was a short story. I watched the trailer of "The Leap Years" (its a local movie production & I don't think it will be showing in Italy or too far from Singapore) and thought it looked promising (almost like P.S. I Love You). Its about a girl and guy promising to meet each other every February 29th. There are also scenes of where this girl, in tears, ran in the rain, with her wedding dress. And it asks... will you wait 12 years for your love? Btw, P.S. I Love You is by an Irish author, Cecilia Ahern. This book is made into a movie as well. I enjoyed the movie but I like the book better.

  19. Hi Aromaanie, I enjoyed Relentless too. I finished it in a day as it was "unputdownable".
  20. I finally get to watch it coz it's showing on the local cable channel :-)... I like it. I thought Jamie and her onscreen sister look alike.
  21. I'm having lunch right now in the office - cup noodles, a can of coke and "kuih puteri salat" which is a traditional, sweet, malay cake.
  22. Hi Valentina, perhaps you would like to read "A Leap of Love by Catherine Lim." It is made into a film called The Leap Years. It has been showing in the cinemas here since 29 February. I hope to watch it soon. Catherine Lim resides in Singapore but she was born in Malaysia so if you decide to read this book, you maybe categorize it in both countries?
  23. To Kill A Mockingbird was one of the books I did for English Literature GCE 'O' Levels when I was 16. With a fantastic teacher guiding the class, I "learned" more about the world out there through this book. It touches about human compassion, the good and the ugly facets of human behaviour, racism, class segregation, and much more. I would like to read it again sometime soon.
