  1. Ha ha, no, of course I don't think that about myself - not always anyway ! Its a quote from Star Trek - Voyager I think, alhtough I am sure you know that already.

  2. Ha ha, neither can I - I work in a nursing home and I don't think the old folk would appreciate that !

  3. Hi Steven, just wanted to say how I enjoy your recent posts, which I find very thought provoking.

  4. You are so kind Genevieve - I have been thinking of you too. It has not been an easy start to the year, but I am okay now, and actually feeling much more positive than I have for ages. You are a good friend. Hope all is well with you too. xxx

  5. I saw your post that mentioned that you used to be an Anglican Priest and am fascinated to know more - why did you leave if you don't mind me asking ?

  6. Don't know how I managwd to miss our new Icelandic member - it's a country I love everything about - the books, the people, the music, but most of all of course the landscape.

  7. No I don't have your email. Send me a PM with it and I can forward the article on. As to what I have been up to - work and lots of it - I am knackered !

  8. Hi Abby, I have been thinking of you today and hoping you are okay. You seem to have a lot on your plate at the moment. If you are interested my partner Coran has written an interesting article on beliefs that might help you make at least some sense. I am happy to send you a copy if you are interested.

  9. That's alright - I won't hold it against you. I am not too bad, we had a few problems with my sister but it seems to have gone quiet again. I am trying not to get concerned about the situation in Iceland as I am going there myself in just over 11 weeks !

  10. No, I heard about it a year or so before it was on Oprah through some friends at the Journey group I used to go to. It's a great book and one that certainly changed the way I view things.

  11. told you I would snoop back !

  12. I am off on July 4th - will be counting the days !

  13. No, can't say I have seen that film -will look for it on Youtube. Like everything else though Iceland can be as cheap or as expensive as you want it to be - most people think it is expensive because they stay in hotels and do expensive guided bus tours, but this is not necessary - it is much more fun to use public transport and mix with the Icelanders in hostels and farmhouses, self catering to save money. There is another reason why I choose to self cater as well - I have a wheat free diet and it's the only way to control what I eat !

  14. Ha ha, I am already listening to lots of Sigur Ros - Coran hates them and it drives him mad ! Things are coming along nicely though - the flights and accomodation are all booked, just have to book some domestic flights and a few busses - will wait for the next credit card statement though ! I have been amazed at how cheap it is - just over

  15. I am sure it will - I may not get what I want, but I will get what I need !

  16. Will have to wait until I am back to work next week unfortunately before I can confirm anything, as one of my colleagues wants the same time off - hopefully it will be okay, as we work at different times, but I need to discuss it with the boss next week to be on the safe side. Hope you had a lovely birthday !

  17. Happy birthday Kylie ! xx

  18. don't worry Kylie, I recognised your picture and knew it was you ! I have sent friend suggestions for you to some other members on here as well.

  19. My memory is like a sieve sometimes ...

  20. Oh that's you - I didn't even realise you were a member - for some reason I thought I knew you from another forum !

  21. You're welcome Shin - sorry, but you'll have to remind me who you are, as I can't get my head round who is who on FV !

  22. Thanks Eshter - a happy New Year to you and yours too - there will be fireworks on my farm tonight !

  23. You're welcome Inver - it was a privilige to spend time with them and see them all enjoying their Christmas so much - it is the thanks we get from the families as well though that make it all worthwhile. It means a lot. Thank you. I hope your Mum enjoyed her Christmas.

  24. Thank you Genevieve - your words are like poetry to me. It's raining here too, and I have a massage booked for 11am. All is well in my world.
