  1. Didn't realise you had got one ! Hope you enjoy it. Will have to get one of yours when I get my new cards - my purse was stolen yesterday so at the moment I can't buy anything. That's one way of saving money, although I wouldn't recommend it!

  2. You've obviously not seen the what's up today thread ! I am not working there anymore - long story, but I resigned on Monday (one week tomorrow) and don't have to work my notice. Freedom !

  3. Was wondering how you are, as I haven't seen your posts for a while. Hope everything's okay.

  4. Sounds like you have been through the mill at work too. I don't know what it was about and probably don't need to know. If you need a shoulder though, you know where I am.

  5. Sounds like the under statement of the year - what goes around comes around though, and some day they will be made accountable for their actions. If it's not me that exposes their practises, then someone else will, of that you can be sure !

  6. Whoops - meant to say it does mean a lot !

  7. Just wanted to say thanks for all your help, which really is appreciated. I can't say it the best Christmas I have had - I was in floods of tears this afternoon. It really does not mean a lot though to know that I have friends on here who care.

  8. Thanks Fish and Chips, and thanks for your friendship request too - I am delighted to make your acquaintance !

  9. Hard as it sounds, it is not for you to fight his battles. Sounds to me that it's time he stood up to her himself. Not the easiest thing to do when you are grieving though. I realised the other day it was nine years on November 30th since my own Mum died, and it was the first year I hadn't thought about her.

  10. Sorry to hear about your Nan Nici, hope you're okay.

  11. Just dropping by - thought I would be the first to wish you happy birthday for next week !

  12. I like that picture too - although my hair's a bit long. It was taken at a book signing at Waterstones in Staines about a year ago.

  13. I think I was confusing you with another Sue I used to know, but I remember who you are now ! I haven't been on HP for years now - it's a long story, will tell you some time ... As for Sainsbury's - they too are long gone - I work for Curry's now, which is slightly different, but just as challenging in a different way !

  14. Of course I remember you Sue, how are you, are you still running your own site? Yes, I have been to Lundy lately though, last week as it happens.

  15. Thanks for being my friend - it will be nice to have someone to discuss publishing stuff with ! Good luck with your own writing and don't give up !

  16. And you - love the picture of your little girl !

  17. It depends on where in Scotland you go -some accents are better than others. Glasgow is the worst - no one was wasn't born there can understand a word ! When you do come to England though, I only live half an hour from Gatwick, so you would be welcome to drop in for a cup of tea or something ...

  18. I remember that cruise well - it was beautiful, but we did it the other way around as I recall, travelling along the coast of Finland - Turku and Tampere and then sailing to North Germany. I was only in Finland a few days, but it was long enough to leave a lasting impression. Would love to go back some day and explore the lakes further north. You will love England though !

  19. I love lovely memories of my own time in Finland when I was a student - saunas, eating berries, long walks, etc etc. I love the relaxed, outdoor lifestyle. Definately one of my favourite countries.

  20. Nothing to do with the Swedish flag I am afeaid, just something I saw on clipart and liked ! I see it as symbolising two aspects of dark and light.

  21. Hope you're feeling better - love the new avatar !

  22. I don't know about it being the Swedish flag - I found it on clipart and for me it respresents the duality of light and dark.

  23. Thanks for being my friend - we have at least two things in common - our love of Stevie (and of course books !)

  24. Thanks for being my friend - we have at least two things in common - our love of Stevie (and of course books !)

  25. Absolutely brilliant - the 60's stuff in particular was fab as always. I was hoarse by the end of the evening! The only song I would have liked to have heard was Loves in need of Love Today, apart from that all my favourites were there.
