Sounds like the under statement of the year - what goes around comes around though, and some day they will be made accountable for their actions. If it's not me that exposes their practises, then someone else will, of that you can be sure !

Just wanted to say thanks for all your help, which really is appreciated. I can't say it the best Christmas I have had - I was in floods of tears this afternoon. It really does not mean a lot though to know that I have friends on here who care.

Hard as it sounds, it is not for you to fight his battles. Sounds to me that it's time he stood up to her himself. Not the easiest thing to do when you are grieving though. I realised the other day it was nine years on November 30th since my own Mum died, and it was the first year I hadn't thought about her.

I think I was confusing you with another Sue I used to know, but I remember who you are now ! I haven't been on HP for years now - it's a long story, will tell you some time ... As for Sainsbury's - they too are long gone - I work for Curry's now, which is slightly different, but just as challenging in a different way !

It depends on where in Scotland you go -some accents are better than others. Glasgow is the worst - no one was wasn't born there can understand a word ! When you do come to England though, I only live half an hour from Gatwick, so you would be welcome to drop in for a cup of tea or something ...

I remember that cruise well - it was beautiful, but we did it the other way around as I recall, travelling along the coast of Finland - Turku and Tampere and then sailing to North Germany. I was only in Finland a few days, but it was long enough to leave a lasting impression. Would love to go back some day and explore the lakes further north. You will love England though !

Thanks for being my friend - we have at least two things in common - our love of Stevie (and of course books !)

Absolutely brilliant - the 60's stuff in particular was fab as always. I was hoarse by the end of the evening! The only song I would have liked to have heard was Loves in need of Love Today, apart from that all my favourites were there.
