  1. I have never been able to get into Dickens, I must try harder.
  2. lol! I am the opposite, no kids of my own so holidays are glorious for reading.
  3. Janet- I would like to read some more classics this year, that is one of my other goals! Karen- since blogging I have got loads of book ideas but I have been a bit lapse with blog lately. Will head over to check out yours though and get some more ideas!

  5. I plan to explore a new genre in my reading (haven't decided what yet!) because I normally stick to what I would call 'normal' fiction. Is anyone else planning to explore anything new? I would quite like to read some more non-fiction as well!
  6. I do like Ian McEwan and have been eyeing this one up in Smiths, I might have to give it a go!
  7. Right I think I am up to date with the books in my flat, apart from all my teaching books which I can't face! I have loads of books in my mums loft but won't get to them until me and OH move into our own house and live in more than a shoebox:)

  10. Me and OH are massive Top Gear fans, we like nothing better than snuggling on the sofa watching an episode. If one of the hosts leave I will be crushed!

  19. If anyone wants to add me as a friend please do, its a.book.in.the.life I haven't a clue how to do it and maybe if I had friends it would encourage me to use it more:)
  20. I have two main things. 1) Read books from my TBR pile to get that down a bit 2) Keep a more accurate record of books read and what I think about them. oh ok and 1 more 3) Keep things like librarything and my blog up to date- and stop letting my reading slide:)
  21. I must keep my LibraryThing updated, I always forget I have it. Off now to have a look:)
  22. I saw the film the other night and really want to read the book now! I love these types of stories and look forward to seeing how it differs from the film.
  23. I really didn't enjoy this book, I read it years ago and keep thinking about trying it again to see if my opinions have changed but there are too many books in the world lol!
  24. I must keep up my record of what books I have read, and own- I have bought a lot of duplicates this year:( I have read some great books this year, will compile my list later!
