  1. Best book I ever read by Ian Fleming was "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" much better than any James Bond books.
  2. Good to see you Jess I see you live in a great part of the country next to the county of my birth "Worcestershire"
  3. I too like to buy used books because as you say Adam you get so many for a small outlay. If you find that some are not as good as you first thought they can always be passed on through charity shops.
  4. One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
  5. I have a metal one of my initial that clips over the top of the page. A small Christmas gift from under the tree last year it has been used every day since then.
  6. Here, Here judyb - you can't make a bad cup of Yorkshire Tea, in the pot of course.
  7. Since we live in a bungalow we are limited for space. We have a bookcase in the living room which contains around 200 and a small bookcase in the conservatory which has another 60. The remainder we have between book ends in the computer room - another 25. I keep getting reminded that we need more shelf space . Maybe one day I will get around to the DIY involved.
  8. Like you Adam I tend to read on average 20 - 30 pages a day, or should I say night since the time I read is usually in bed. I carry on reading until I am dropping off to sleep and can't keep my eyes open any longer. I have never read a book in one sitting either.
  9. I know who you are too ! Thanks for the welcome Echo, I will see what I can do Thanks for the welcome Sedge glad to know I'm not on my own - safety in numbers.
  10. Thanks for the welcome Maureen. Before I lived in West Sussex I lived in Worcestershire close to the River Severn - hence the name
  11. I found the door open so I just walked in. I already know two members so I thought I would join to see what all the fuss was about . I love reading but this is confined mainly to bed time so I don't get through as many books as I would like . I have just finished Angel's Ashes and am about to start Tis by Frank McCourt.
