Society now makes celebs out of these people - and amazingly they can make a lot of money from it -having said that I will prob be watching as I must admit I have enjoyed the last few series!
I quite like these - except his last book - but the others I think dealt very well with the father/son relationship
I would add to the list Atonement! I could not get into this book at all what was all the fuss about
sorry but cant stand the Harry Potter books - again cant see what all the fuss is about?!
Lucky Jim - have tried to read this a few times - too boring!
I read a really good book set in the 60s -cant remember the name but the story invloved a young hippy settin up a clothes shop in Carnaby Street - i was of course too young to appreciate the 60s but have always been interested in that era:tong:
I never work it out Love the Agatha Christie ones and I think the aim is to get you thinking it is anyone of them= they all could have done it - usually I find it impossible to work it out - but thats the fun in being surprised at the end
Does anyone remember a sitcom in the mid 80s called "Goodbye George" or something similar? it used to be on a Sunday night - it had a woman with long blonde hair and I think a guy called George who was always trying to have a relationship with her but never succeeded.
