Hi Paula! Jasper and I are well. I have lots of little scratches, and he has drawn blood a few times. It mostly happens when he is excited and scratches me accidentally. He is just so adorable that I can't be angry with him. I'm sooo glad he has come into my life.

Do you know that there's a twice-yearly bookfair in Canberra? They have a massive range of secondhand books, often in near-new condition, for around $5 a pop. The next fair is in mid March (Google 'Canberra Lifeline Book fair' for more info).

I can't put into words how big and awesome it is, and what good value for money!

Hello HavenKarma! I agree with your thoughts on Australian bookshops. It's very frustrating for us when our dollar is so strong against the US$ but prices never come down.

No way! I'm much more like the person in your own avatar, although I do try to go to the gym occasionally. That tracksuit was leant to me when I went skydiving a couple of years ago. I threw up shortly after the photo was taken (the instructor spun me around a lot).
