Ooh how exciting. I too am working on a novel. In fact I should be working on it now instead of being on here. Have you ever considered going back to get some of those qualifications (not that you seem to need them, you seem to be getting along fine without them!)
What was your other route? Also what is your novel about if you don't mind me asking?

Oh that's not a happy story . I notice you're 23. You might be able to skip the A Levels if they'll accept you as a mature student. I went back to uni at 23ish, as a mature student. I did have A levels though. But a lot of the older people on the course didn't, they had done access courses and things.
But if it's meant to happen it will happen when the time is right. The novel sounds fab! Have fun

It's kind of a ghost story, something supernatural and spooky anyway. Trouble is, 'spooky' is a lot harder to write than I'd realised and I don't think it's scary at all, lol. Ah well. Hope you feel better soon. Sleep well.

Hi Mac
I finished it yesterday and really enjoyed it, although I got a bit frustrated at the pace at the start and wanted things to get moving quicker. Another minor gripe was that the final showdown scene went on a bit too long. But yea, it was real page turner and I'm looking forward to The Secret of Crickley Hall which is on my shelf
Sounds like you have a nice weekend planned. I had a fairly relaxed one including a haircut, chinese food, computer games and making soup.
Things are indeed tickety boo. How was your "me-day" yesterday?

Hi Mac. Love the background in here! Things are good with me. Just got back from Scotland yesterday - a bit of a girly trip away to visit friends. Was lovely but travelling from Scotland to Wales is a gruelling trip - even when you fly! Had a great time though. How is life with you? 73 eh? Fine indeed
