At princessponti's sugg I'm going to get Tale of the Body Theif -- because, like you, I loved Interview but couldn't get into the others in the series...thanks for the suggestion.

Read the book first and cound't put it down. LITERALLY. Slept with the danged thing. JK.
I loved it.
Movie? I only watched because I adore New Orleans. It was too slick. The beauty and nuances got lost in the translation.

I finally settled on a King book to read, tho I've noticed no one has mentioned it here! That may be good or bad...The Girl that Loved Tom Gordon came highly reccommended to me as a first read by a friend.
Any thoughts?
I haven't started it yet.
Just FYI, her fav was The Stand, tho she hesitated to reccomend it to me as a first read for some reason.
Katherine
Great review, Kell. I've wondered about this book --- because it got so much "buzz" -- which everyone besides people making decisions in NY knows is highly over rated...this is a REAL buzz right here. Thanks for it.
Wow, it's hard to tell across the board which of his works is most popular. Which is a pretty good sign that he pleases most of the time with his writing -- something every author hopes to do.
I'm still trying to pick one, and you all have made me even more confused! SIGH>
I'm still reading "An Abundance of Katherine's" but just started "The Emporer's Children"...gonna search this site to see if anyone else is/has reading/read it.
DUH. I like which book --- jk --- BTW, am reading, "An Abundance of KAtherine's" now, because my name is Katherine....actually really enjoying it. Great stuff.
I've done some MAJOR skimming thru Wild Roses -- an awful lot of nothing IMO -- and am gleaning a wee bit of enjoyment for the purchase.
Can't wait until The Emporer's Children arrives. That, will hopefully save me from this reading slump!
GGRRRrrr
All of the above?????? LOL. I dunno. It's driving me crazy. Writing has made me this monster with a lense so tight, if I don't like what I focus on, I'm searching the horizon for another piece.
Yes, the best cooks are those in the trenches serving real people everyday -- like families. Yes, "diners" are real folk, but...in light of that, my grandmother's pot roast turns a pleasant man into a ravenous beast.
