I am not familiar with the first one, but oh yeah, Shadowlands had me a quivering, tear-laden wreck. Gak.

The opening credits and music for any Lassie movie. So I gave up and don't watch. This afternoon Memoirs of a Geisha was on, and while I have the book, I've not read it yet...it's in the never ending stack, and I only was able to see the last, I suppose one-third of it, but at the last scene, I won't give it away, I had tears running down my cheeks. Great movie. Beautiful and lush. But that is rare for me.

That is about the first time I read them too. The one that followed them up...can't recall the name, but it was about Mordred....didn't care for that so much. The Wicked Day. Just found it on the shelf. I should have added in Jane Eyre to my list as well, although I don't know which entry I would take out.....

They grow quite large over here, we used to have some that were over 10 feet tall at least. They do make a lovely hedge too. The ones we had, I planted and only took, oh, maybe 5 or 6 years at the most to attain their height. Maybe there are different ones that grow at different paces?

Beautiful muggle! We have those all over the place...in full bloom right now. They come up wild too. We call it Confederate Jasmine though. I can't wait for the honeysuckle to come out.

Love chicken fixed almost any way, but especially grilled or baked. Macaroni and cheese.....well let's face it.....cheese with anything. Peanut butter and butter on waffles with a pot of tea will always hit the right spot! And let us not forget the most basic of food groups.... chocolate and coffee. Preferably together.

It's been ages, but yes, I've read Noble House and Shogun at least, maybe a few more I can't remember. I enjoyed them quite a lot.

It is one of the few books I could not finish. Too depressing, and I don't care for his style of writing, I found it flat. That was the second of his books that I could not finish. Rare for me. An author can "do" unemotional without being boring, Ishiguro did not succeed for me. I have read and....well I can't really in all honesty say enjoyed, but was able to finish, Remains of the Day, which may be more of a compliment to Anthony Hopkins than Ishiguro.

I've read that series and enjoyed it. But Merlin a leper? Maybe Jack Whyte wrote more after I stopped reading but I don't remember that in the first 4 or 5 of the books.

I wonder if I can order it online...?
