  1. Thanks for this. I've always wanted to read Terry Pratchett but have never been sure where to begin. I'm going to print this out and get started!
  2. i really like Katie Fforde. Her books all follow quite a similar theme but in different settings so I try not to read them straight after each other. "Restoring Grace" is my favourite, it was a real feelgood story.

    My Town

I really want Galactic Space Hamster to tell us about his home town!!
  4. I've just finished this and really enjoyed it. It was sad but heartwarming at the same time. I really liked the characters so was interested in what happened to them. Highly recommended-my Mum wants to nick it off me now!
  5. I haven't read this yet, but have just seen it has been made into a movie. Go to http://www.eragonmovie.com for more details. For anyone enjoying Eragon, Eldest, the sequel, is out now in paperback. I'm going to look for Eragon in the library as it's not something I would normally read but I want to give it a try.
  6. Bought this yesterday. I'm really looking forward to reading it, think I'll have to bump it to the top of my TBR pile.
  7. 1. I have got 2 lovely sons. 2. I am 5'3", but my husband is 6'6"! 3. I can't drive, and have never even had a driving lesson. 4. My dream job would be a librarian. 5. I'm addicted to The Sims 2.
  8. I have got this book on my RISI list and was so pleased to see your review because everyone I know had never heard of it! I thought it was a lovely book and I read it in a few hours. I think your review is spot on. You would imagine the subject matter to make this book very depressing but it is actually quite uplifting. Although it was sad in parts, like you say it wasn't a total tear-jerker, which I think is a good thing because it could easily have ended up being over-sentimental.
