  6. Thanks Esio, seeing as I have already read The Sinner which is next in the series I'll be reading Body Double very very soon. I've decided to read Peggy Elliot's A Small Part of History next. A Small part Of History is the unforgettable story of the women who travelled the Oregon Trail in 1845 - a tale of incredible bravery told through narrative, diaries and recipes. With it's powerful themes of family relationships, the American dream, and the role of women throughout history, this is a perfect reading group book....
  7. I'm still a novice at it Kylie but in the last couple of years I've managed to grow a couple of pumpkins, potatoes and courgettes oh and some onions. The only real failure has been carrots, from the surface they looked great and I thought they would be huge but when I pulled them up they were stunted hopefully this year will be better
  8. Just finished The Private Lives of Pippa Lee and after a boring bit at the beginning it turned out to be a really good read with an ending I didn't see coming. I'll keep an eye out for more of Ms Millers work. Not sure what to read next...Body Double by Tess Gerritsen, Peggy Elliot's A Small Part of History or Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister by Gregory Maguire oh decisions decisions I'll get back when I've decided.
  9. I've just finished this and I have to say I have mixed feelings about it. Part way through I was thinking why am I reading this it's a bit boring then the middle bit left me thinking this is some mixed up kid who doesn't really know what she wants and the ending wasn't at all what I was expecting. The book gently lulled me into a false sense of security so the ending was a surprise and like Esio I too would like to know what became of Pippa Lee. Once I got over the boring bit it was a really enjoyable read thanks Esio.
  10. We had a stew tonight.
  11. Lovely pics muggle. Well I finally managed to finish weeding the back veg patch and planted my cauliflowers, sprouts, courgettes and carrots, the potatoes are coming on a treat. Suffering with a bad back today but it was worth it. Going to do a bit of tidying up in the front later whilst it is still sunny.
