  1. love that song -Starland Vocal was from the Washington, DC area at the time when I lived near in the suburbs - The song was titled after a menu of Clyde's Restaurant of Washington. Dixieland Delight - Alabama
  2. Love In The Hot Afternoon - Jim Ed Brown
  3. Mash and Taxi. On second thought, no, impossible to replicate the characters in each show.
  4. Goodnight My Love - Ella Fitzgerald
  5. pizza tonight, but not a very good one.
  6. Goodnight Irene - Steve Earle
  7. Without question, I would bring back "Northern Exposure". However, I believe it was a show where the specific actors/actresses are a necessity to make the show as great as it was. LOL, most of you are probably too young to have watched Northern Exposure.
  8. Hello Momma Hello Papa - Allan Sherman
  9. I agree. I enjoyed the entire series. On the previous comment by another person, I don'r blame King a bit for not wanting people "dropping in" at his house. I believe all well known people have similar problems. It would be a constant stream of people to the door if they were welcomed with open arms.
  10. I love buckwheat pancakes. How did yours turn out. I also like traditional pancakes made with a little cornmeal flour added to the regular flour, with buttermilk of course.
  11. vegetable and shrimp stir fry. A greek artichoke salad as a side.
  12. Son of a Son of a Sailor - Jimmy Buffett
  13. Lover (When I'm Near You) - Ella Fitzgerald
  14. I've Got You Under My Skin - Frank Sinatra
  15. I have read all three books and I can see where a fourth book would fit in nicely with the ending of Hornets Nest. I talked my wife into reading the books and she is now on Hornets nest and has enjoyed all of the books but she said that she enjoyed Fire the best, of course though, she hasn't finished Hornets Nest yet and I thought it may have been the best.
  16. I have read all his "Thursday Next" books and really enjoyed them . I recently finished "One of the Thursday's is Missing", it was good but not as good as the previous ones in this series. I am looking forward to the next book published.
  17. Move It On Over - Hank Williams
  18. Beautiful Brown Eyes - Jimmy Wakely (yes, the same GD that wrote the poem when she was 12 or 13 - last summer she spent a month in Morrocco as a volunteer working in a children's hospital - while there she and 3 friends hired a guide and rode camels out into the Sahara and spent the night under the stars - she met a family of Nomads in the Sahara and, get this, they made tea for her)
  19. Ruth, please don't feel bad. I was only complementing the students who filmed and produced the film. Actually, I also thought the hype was much better than the actual film and in fact the film was probably over-rated.
  20. LOL, I can assure you that they do care. However, their bank account is smiling.
  21. Actually, the hype of the Blair Witch Project was part of the genius of the students. How many people would have gone to see a movie produced and filmed by some obscure students if not for the ingenius hype. How many of us would even be talking about the movie? I give them total credit for what they accomlished. And let me apologize now for taking this thread off-topic somewhat. Everyone is entitled to their opinions on what films they think overrated.
  22. It is amazing what some people love and what others dislike. It goes to prove that it would be a sad world if we all liked the same music and same acting. For example, The Blair Witch Project, although certainly not an academy award type film , was well put together by some students from Montgomery College in Maryland. I applaud their enginuity (sp). Of course, I may be somewhat prejudiced.
  23. Light of My Life - Debby Boone (Poppy - I love the old songs - I also loved the Musicals which we don't get to see much nowadays - talk about old, I may post a few sentneces, if any interest of an email that I sent to my GD recently {she is in Ghana now studying at the abroad campus of NYU} anyhow, I am trying to inform her a little of my history when I was younger - this particular one was an afternoon I spent with a guy that was a star in the Ziegfield Follies and played with George Burns, Eddie Cantor, etc)
  24. Moon River - Andy Williams
