Sounds like a great time. New Orleans is a very interesting city. Another city that is a great place is San Francisco. My wife and I just love visiting it. I wish it wasn't so far away.
i've Got The World On A String - Frank Sinatra
(off to read Clash of Kings - I will try to post my story tomorrow)....and yes, it is a favorite of mind.
Make The World Go Away - Eddie Arnold
(That is beautiful. Oh, those eyes. You gotta love the old timers. Sometime I will have to tell you the story of an afternoon that I spent with a person that played in Vaudeville.)
When a kid i delivered newspapers (thru rain and snow) did that for about 4 years.
At the age of 16 -17 I worked at Piper Aircraft sanding airplane wings (during the summer break from High School)
I worked in a "sweatshop" running and threading machines that made rick-rack (during my higher education years)
Reading - I have been retired now for 6 weeks and have rwead 11 books in that time including the lengthy "A Game Of Thrones"....and I am not being a skite.
The Western series are his best IMHO. There are only four that he wrote and I enjoyed them all very much. the fifth book in the Western series was written by a different author after Parker's death and was not very good reading.
I enjoy parker far more than I do James Patterson.
It has been a pretty big best seller and I was/am thinking about reading it. However, my wife read it and didn't enjoy it very much. i will probably pass on this book.
