  3. Just finished the Other Hand, cannot recommend it too highly, don't want to say too much as there is no blurb but again a really hard hitting story with much to say about our world.
  4. Celia Brayfield, Getting Home. Really enjoying this one, sort of political chick lit!

  7. Hi

Thank you for dropping by was meaning to pop in and say thank you for all your advice! We had a lovely time, very cold although the dryness of the air was better than our dampness! The people were exactly as I remember and you describe in one of the threads and I cannot thank you enough for the moisturiser tip! Have never used so much nivea in my life!

    Take care

    Louise

  11. Charlie Connelly And Did those Feet.... I don't often read non fiction but enjoyed Attention all Shipping by this author. This was great, it followed great historical journeys and Connelly walked the routes of several of these, well researched, informative and made me laugh. Ace

  14. Beautiful Kell and so cute! Why is he not entering then? Have you discussed it with him?
  15. Comfort Food, Kate Jacobs. I enjoyed Friday Night Knitting Club by this author and although not as harrowing this tackled similar themes, cooking this time, easy and light and everyone happy at the end.
  16. the Harmony Silk Factory by Tash Aw - interesting lots to think about, the same story told by three different people clever but not sure I understood it all!
  17. Off to look thanks for the recommendation
  18. I thought so, this is the second book I've read by Alexander Potter and they are a bit quirky! Very clever idea

  20. Finland ski-ing but really could not read and ski! Want to see your idea now!
  21. I really enjoyed this story but have forgotten the plot! On holiday I read: Who's that Girl Alexander Potter - what happens when your 30 year old self meets its 20 year old version good fun, who learns from whom! Crossed Bones Jane Johnson - great fun pirates and history really interesting Tainted Blood Arnuldur Indriason (sp) - grim murder mystery set in Iceland (I read it all in an accent!) Nightmare Academy Monster Revenge Dean Lorey - HP/Artemis Fowl lite OK Savage Garden Mark Mills - murder mystery in 1940s Florence, very clever although ending was a bit of a let down Bait Nick Brownlee - easy thriller set in Kenya, very fast moving and thrilling The Overlook Michael Connolly - post 9/11 thriller but is the murder of a physicist all as it seems? Now reading The Harmony Silk Factory Tash Aw, good start but read it on flight home so will need to reread as was too busy praying!
  22. These are brilliant! Here is mine very big I'm afraid but technical problems! It is a reindeer sleigh (last week) and I needed my children for warmth!
