They made another narnia movie? I'm surprised, I didn't think prince caspian did well enough to make it worth it for them. Still , I'm glad to hear it. So far they've done a great job with adapting them

I've had a breadmaker for a few years now , however I would say unless you make bread frequently it's one gadget you could probably live without. I find it much more simple to make it by hand as well as being more theraputic and tasting better.

Yeah, worse thing is when you're really getting into a book and you find its missing a couple of pages or you can't read some of them because they're stuck together

While most of mine look a bit worn round the ages thats usually because they've been read time and time again. I am quite hard on them carting them round the place and at times cracking the spine but i generally don't fold down pages or use them as coasters for coffee mugs. However there was 1 incident where a book got accidently dropped in the bath but that was when i was much younger..... *dives for cover

It would be great if they did , but i can also see it getting strung out for months. As far as I remember from last year , there arent any spoilers on there just an analysis of the previous episode. I'll check again though V. Wish i could be an optimist but im a cynic through and through Edit: The site usually avoids spoillers as the writer hates them too however i'd recommend not reading the post about comic con. Everything else will be fine although it is american so a few days ahead.

I ran a search for this and came up with nothing but ive done that before so appologies if its around already. Has anyone read this? im about a quarter of the way through and finding it really hard to get into. I absolutly loved labyrinth but this isn't catching my interest as much. Is it worth perservering with? *goes back and tries again

Yeah , i agree sophie's world is amazing but i always get a little lost around the middle where he's talking about i think its the later philosophers. I've not tried the ring masters daughter so i'll have to look out for that one

Does anyone know if theres any progress bein made with the strike? I think i read somewhere they think its set to last till april if it follows the same pattern as the last one. Did anyone else hear this?

Hopefully the fact that they've got a set number of episodes now means they can, an its looking hopeful with the first episode called the beginning of the end really can't wait. Speaking of questions did they even start to explain the statue with 4 toes at all?

I love this book so much , just how everything is interwoven and a story within a story within a story ( i think it ends up ) Did you read any of the others? Through a Glass , Darkly always makes me cry

I tried reading this a couple of years ago and really struggled with it. In the end i think i got about half way through and gave up. Maybe i'll try and give it another try but i always get distracted by something else.

did you get told you would ruin your eyes as well? on reflection I should probably of listened , my eyesight is absolutly terrible.

I live near there , i used to go there all the time with my dad sorry slight deviation most of my earliest reading memories are centered around enid blyton books especially the naughtiest girl series and bein told off for trying to read in the car while it was getting dark .

I always find Langoliers really really creepy and it makes me nervous to fly. Good story though

The bit with the alien at the birthday party always gets to me , and normally things like that don't bother me at all. Rather strange movie and i can't make up my mind about it.

i always cry at the end of Gladiator and The Green Mile, i can't help it and i think its the music of gladiator that sets me off.

I think they did an okay job on adapting it although it seems quite a bit of the anti religion parts were taken out although not all. Plus they shifted around the timeline a bit. But in terms of staying true to the feel of the story i think they got it. I love His Dark Materials especially The Amber Spyglass but haven't read any of the others, so i think a couple will be added to my pile. Can anyone recommend which of non Dark materials i should start with?

I love IT , its my favourite king and although it is a bit long and jumps about a bit its definatly worth it. Never quite got round to the stand , i think i have it sitting on a shelf somewhere though so mayb il finally read it this summer

i really enjoyed this book and it also made me want to learn about their world. Although its non- fiction geisha by lisa dalby is another good book as she was the first non-japanese woman to become a geisha. She also goes into more detail about the history of them. I think she was a consultant on the movie as well.

I think this one is slightly more plausable than the da vinci code and definatly has more of a story line because I thought the ideas in DVC took center role and the plot was sidelined.
