How about a spicy cottage pie - add cumin, cinnamon, a pinch of chilli, tomato puree, and if you have any a couple of apricots for a Morroccan feel. Top with mash with garlic and top with toasted cumin seeds. Delish

I must be at the same place as you Kylie (I have been reading other books as well, unusual for me!) I agree whole heartedly with you. I think that the way Fanny is treated is appalling.
I do remember this one from many many years ago and it's been great to refresh my memory!

Stayed in the sun again - finished The Cradle Will Fall
Moving onto Kate Long - The Daughter Game
-
I've always loved her books. I've read Pride and Prejudice numerous times. Although the books are old, there are still some themes that are just as relevant to today's society.
Sat out in the sun today and started Mary Higgins Clark - The Cradle Will Fall.
-
I've now started Mansfield Park and I'm enjoying it so far.
-
Jane Austen - Mansfield Park
-
Ian Rankin - The Naming of the Dead
-
Is it as good as Labyrinth Louise - I keep hesitating over that one
-
Enjoy Louise!! It's as good as his others, you won't be disappointed
Will start Maeve Binchy - Evening Class. Yes it is chicklit - but I'm back at work today and I need something light!

I've never read a taster chapter - I'd rather read the book
-
I think this one will have to go on the wishlist. It sounds a very good read

I read C. J. Sansom's new book Revelation on holiday - it was fantastic
. For all Shardlake fans I really recommend this one. Sansom never fails to deliver
Now halfway through Caro Peacock - Death at Dawn
-
Cornish pasty:mrgreen:

The Rossetti Letter was a very good read - a glimpse into 17C Venice.
Wendy Holden - The School for Husbands
-
Sacrifice was a really good read.
Just started Christi Phillips - The Roetti Letter
-
I've read most of Jodi's books and this one was one of my favourites - and it certainly made me well up. I was certainly left thinking about the Amish way of life - so much simpler, refusing to go along with the modern way of life. A very thought provoking read - as are most of her books

Honey roasted gammon, roast new potatoes and carrots

That business with Raef made me laugh - he did everything possible to delay going back to the laundry. My DH liked the boys style of hiding the irons - that's exactly what he would do (and he admitted it:lol:)
-
S. J. Bolton - Sacrifice
-
Jenny should have gone - I think that AS wanted to fire all 3! The girls were dreadful this week.
-
Jacquelyn Mitchard - A Theory of Relativity
-
I loved it. I thought that it was the right decision to give Nicholas an F this time -that will be his lowest grade ever
. He was far too up himself - at least he had the grace to look embarressed in the aftershow. I'd like to see Raef go next another one who thinks he's so upper class. I liked Sir Alan's question on whether he thought he was the Prince (as opposed to being the pauper!!). Sir Alan really doesn't like snobbish behaviour or those that think they are superior to other people amongst the ranks .

Finished Pandora - this is my 2nd Jilly Cooper and I enjoyed it alot.
Now reading one from my TBR pile - Jean Plaidy's Flaunting, Extravagant Queen
-
Icecream - you are not too old for Easter Eggs!
I haven't tackled mine yet - save that for later. Kids have had some of theirs though

We invented something similar last year and it was lovely
