    That's sad. A lot of those shows played such a huge part in my childhood, from watching the shows to re-enacting them in the playground.

    I lov that the author keeps stepping out of the story to comment on the events as they unfold, speaking directly to the reader - it makes me feel like I'm almost in cahoots with him and able to make comments in return - LOL!

    I'm reading this at the moment (and will probably still be reading it come the end of the month as it's rather thick!) but I'm' enjoying it immensely! I love Becky Sharp - yes, she's rather manipulative, but she's a fun character. And I kind of like Jos too, vain and silly as he is. Amelia I find rather insipid and George I cannot take to, but Dobbin is such a good, solid, faithful fellow, one cannot help but like him.
