Re Brom:
I've only finished 2 of his 3 novels so far (The Plucker and The Devil's Rose) and I read them in that order (it's also publication order). I've just started The Child Thief.
The Plucker is, in many ways, more accessible than The Devil's Rose as it has a fairytale quality, even though it's incredibly dark and definitely NOT for children (it's rather scary to be honest!). It will always have a special place in my heart as it is how I cottoned on to Brom in the first place and I would definitely recommend it as the place to start as it really showcases both Brom's art and his mastery of words.
The Devil's Rose is altogether darker again and the artwork bleaker but still stunning.
Both of them are fully illustrated by Brom.

And how do you rectify the screen once you've done that? Do you just repeat the procedure? I'd like to try that one...
ETA: I just tried it - brilliant! Also turned it sideways.

As CBeebies is curently on in the background, I sing for you this little birthday song (slightly amended):
Happy, happy, happy, happy birthday to you,
Have a happy day today.
(Have a happy day!)
Everybody here wishes you a happy birthday,
Have a happy day today.
Are you one? Are you two?
Are you three? Are you four?
Are you five, six, seven,
Or maybe more?
BCF wishes you a happy birthday,
With lots of birthday cards through your door.
Happy birthday!

At the moment he's an excellent feeder who sleeps very well through the day, but hasn't quite figured out how to drop off at night! We've had a cople of vey tiring and disturbed nights since we got home, bt the midwife was round today and offered a few suggestions, so we're hoping they'll work and we can get into a good routine.
And the photo really doesn't do him justcie - he's even cuter in the flesh!

Hello there - you've been missed! Yup, Tad and I are doing fine and dandy. I should probably be resting more than I actually do though - I've never been so popular as since Igot pregnant! Suddenly I'm in extra-hot demand and every weekend is action-packed.
I'm currently trying to persuade Hubby that redecorating the nursery is an excellent idea (even though we only painted it about 18 minths ago - LOL!). I'm trying to persuade him by saying I'll do it...
