Oh dear.. a bad RC month for you!
-
o thank you alot michelle
do you have any idea?
I haven't read any Patricia Cornwell, but I know a few here have, so someone should help soon. In the meantime, you could take a look at her site.. http://www.patricia-cornwell.com
As for James Patterson, I think I've read one or two, and I have no idea if they are in a certain order. This might help.. http://www.jamespatterson.com/books_readingOrder.html

Hi boris... and welcome to the forum.
I've changed the subject of the thread for you, so hopefully someone will be able to answer for you.

Part of me is now intrigued.. part of me glad I didn't continue!
-
I seem to have trouble with books that are written as letters.. this one certainly has some good bits in it, but the general style is putting me off. I'm finding myself starting to skim, and I don't think I'll be going much further.
-
I have 2 cousins.. but they're on the side of the family I rarely see.

My version came from a Market Place trader on Amazon. It cost me 1p, plus the

Goodness me, how do you read that many books?! LOL
-
Thanks for the suggestion!
I was pleasantly surprised with Blue Dahlia.. it helps that there's a ghost story in it, but the characters were good. I'll be reading the rest of the trilogy, and then picking up a few more of hers.
Mamacita sent me some books from her conference, so I have even more of the TBR pile now!

That sounds really good Tiger.

ooh.. summer school? is that part of the school you're starting on Wednesday?
-
It looks like there's alot out there to choose from.. thanks for the suggestions!

I shall add a 6th fact for Debbie.. she was one of the original members of this forum, an early moderator, and she gave me lots of encouragement to get it up and running!

I read this book on holiday, which meant that I got to read it in big chunks which could be why I loved it lots and lots.
Yep, I do think that's the key to this book. Glad you liked it.

I'd be interested to hear what you think of this one. It's interesting that so many authors seem to like the 'Tudor Queens'!

Brother Odd is due out November 28.
You won't want to miss Odd -
Not sounding too good so far then! LOL

What are your memories when you were reading childrens books (yes, I know some of you still do, but you know what I mean!)?
Was it the usual, such as Enid Blyton, or do you remember more unusual books? Which have stuck in your mind?

This is a new author I've come across.. I picked up Sabriel in a bookshop on holiday, and it wasn't until I started reading that I realised it was classed as a children's book.
I have started it, but didn't get too far before I chose my library book instead, but I do plan on going back to it. It does, however, appear to include quite scary content for a child?
Any other fans of this author? What are his other books like?
-
Probably me..

Nora seems to write books at a phenomenal rate, and sadly, in my eyes, that showed in her latest JD Robb book, Born In Death. Apart from Mavis's baby, it was extremely similar to previous books, with nothing to make it stand out.
Has anyone found this so with her other books? Do you think they've suffered being published so quickly?

I decided to take a look at my library's offerings, and decided on 'Blue Delia'. I shall let you know how I get on with it.
Which is the first one in the three sisters trilogy? I have a feeling I looked at the first of these today.. but I could be wrong!
-
For some reason I'm fed up looking at my TBR pile, and trying to make a decision, so I picked up a couple at the library instead. I decided to give Nora Robert's 'Blue Dahlia' a try, and also a Graham Masterton one.. 'Touchy and Feely'

My Lover's Lover did turn out to be a good book.. I found myself reading it super fast, because I wanted to know what the big 'secret' was! This author has quite a distinctive way of writing.. I think you'd either like it or hate it.
Born In Death was a disappointment. In a way I enjoy them, because it's like sitting down with an old friend, but my feeling here is that Nora is churning books out too quickly.
Sarah's book list.
