  1. Hi! Thanks! It looks good. Sad to see familiar names drop away, but I'm sure many wonderful new ones are here, too. Itsmeagain, it's good to see you're still here!
  2. I moved this summer. I'm living in the United States in Southern California. I think I moved several times since being here. I used to be in New Orleans, Louisiana.
  3. Hi!!! Thank you for the welcome! I remember both of you, too! I see some familiar names are still here. I joined the Facebook group as well just to see what's new. Some things have changed, some see the same. It's good to be back!

  5. I would think that if people are making negative assumptions about a stranger based on the books they are reading, then the problem lies with them, not with your choice of reading material.
  6. I really like BookOutlet. It's a discount retailer of overstocked items. I've made some interesting discoveries there.
  7. I'm an introvert. For those of you who might be familiar with MBTI, I'm an INFP. I find it interesting -- but not surprising, I suppose -- that so many of the respondents are introverts.
  8. Every day is beautiful here. 73°F/23°C and sunny. It's like that every single day.
  9. Hello! Late to the thread. I love to travel. I recently spent three weeks driving & camping across the United States. It was quite the adventure! In the next few weeks, I'm possibly taking a trip to go see the giant sequoias. A daytrip to Mexico is in the future, as well.
  10. Hello! I was on this forum for a couple years as dtrpath. I'm not sure if anyone from a few years back remembers. Anyway, a lot has changed since then. Shortly after the last time I posted, I had a traumatic brain injury. With that, I lost the ability to read books -- really to read and understand anything beyond the shortest, most basic text. All writing was done with the help of predictive text. So, after a year or so, I finally was able to read a book again, but it was so arduous that my love of reading was gone. It's now almost three years since my injury, and I've found that I can enjoy and understand in small doses. I recently remembered this group (a lot of memories are gone or intermittently recovered) and I am happy to see that it is still here! I probably will never be as active as I once was, but I look forward to finding out what has happened in the world of books that I missed during my injury and recovery. Happy reading! Quinn
