  4. Girls on Film - Duran Duran
  5. Yes they love it, I had a spaniel try to jump onto my lap earlier at a cafe, I think it could smell the empty Twix wrapper I'd put on the table! I always say hello to dogs as well, it's only polite especially if they come up to you,I think they can sense when people like them, most of the time.
  6. I love it when they do that, as if they can't quite believe that someone doesn't want to speak to them!
  7. Rubberband Girl - Kate Bush
  8. i have this one on a tbr pile.
  9. I've just gotta get a message to you - Bee Gees
  10. They're so cute, I was out for a walk this morning and a lovely golden retriever came along and marched right through our group, receiving several pats as it did so!

  12. The Man who sold the World - David Bowie/Lulu
  13. New Seeker book due out soon, I must catch up with this series!
  14. I agree, lots of pointless posts! Well done for keeping us safe, another forum I used to be on was spammed so often that they had to make it a closed group, which meant that no one else could join, which led to an inevitable decline and eventual closure as there were so few members as people who left couldn't be replaced.
  15. Lady's Well by LJ Ross - this is the 20th in the long running Northumberland set crime series, and is a pretty solid police procedural. The village of Holystone is stunned when the waters of the local holy well turn red, but sadly it's not a miracle but a crime, and when a local man is found dead he's believed to be a victim of the water poisoning. Local protesters are suspected, but then one of them dies too and whilst at first it looks to be an obvious solution to the man's death, it turns out to not be that simple a case to solve, and inevitably it seems that the answers lie in the past. So begins a mystery with lots of twists and turns, which focusses more on Ryan and his team rather than his family (which means a lot less of his perfect wife!) although the office banter starts to wear a bit thin at times. But otherwise this was a solid read with some good reveals, although at times it felt similar to Kate Ellis's Wesley Peterson series, especially with it's focus on a local archaeological dig. 7/10
  16. The Boy from Nowhere - Tom Jones
  17. Funnily enough I've just ordered another of her books, The Bookseller of Inverness. She also has another series, starting with The Seeker (which features an appearance by Seaton), and I've read the first two of this and can thoroughly recommend them (I have the Seaton books as well).
  18. Only the Lonely - Roy Orbison
  19. Yes loads of typos like the one above, also I quite often see a random "a" suddenly appearing in the middle of text, and the book I finished last night got a character name wrong, so it said "Frank" instead of "Fred", which meant that a murder victim had suddenly revived! What? I thought, then re-read it and realised what must have happened, ie someone got the names muddled, or maybe it was predictive text and it picked the wrong name beginning with F!
  20. Castle on the Hill - Ed Sheeran
  21. The Air that I Breathe - The Hollies
  22. I hope so! Especially as the weather is now much cooler, and there's not been much sun and therefore heat on them, I've cut all the surrounding branches away.
  23. He was 96. The last of that generation of singers,I think.
