I'm halfway through the Mortal Instruments series and enjoying it (much better than Twilight, so far anyway), I like to leave a gap between authors, but with a series I tend to forget what happened in the previous book if I leave it for too long! I've also got the Infernal Devices trilogy, which is a sequel to the MI series, and apparently you don't know to have read the MI books first.

I think there is a new series of the original Montalbano, they had caught up with the books so not sure if they're new stories, although a couple more books have come out now.

How was the book? Someone recently mentioned it to me but I haven't read it.
The book was quite good although I think the initial idea sort of ran out of steam a bit, in the film it's all done much faster and is more of a "woman in peril" type situation and felt quite rushed, but I think the ending of the book was spoilt it by being the usual silly woman who finds herself alone and has to save herself scenario.

If we're talking TV shows mine would be "The Young Montalbano" which I've been recording, they were actually first shown last year and at the time I wished I'd kept some, now they're being repeated so I can watch them again (although I missed one) and maybe keep one or two, the last episode I remember was especially good.

As far as I know mine is "This Rough Magic" by Mary Stewart ,great book.

Managed to get a window of about 2 hours of dry weather, and took the dog out, but started raining again around 2.30 and hasn't stopped.

I loved the Devil in the Marshalsea, the sequel's good too and there's a third book as well.

Strange mix of sunshine and rain today, managed to get our guest dog out over the local nature reserve when it was nice and sunny, although the duck pond was frozen (with loads of seagulls standing on it), then when we came out of Tesco's this afternoon everyone was sheltering from what must have been a massive downpour, the car park was soaking, and another downpour around 5.00.

Still quite cold here (though a bit warmer than where you are Athena!) and damp and drizzly, meant to get to around 10 or 11 later in the week. Windy too.
