  1. Yes, I think I will be stopping at Armand... but Memnoch makes me weary me just thinking of it. Come to the dark side...
  2. You know, I've been reading in it most of the day and its not bad. I have only read two other teenage diaries, so it is a different format. That's... intriguing I look forward to it, even if I hated Reasons to Stay Alive Its basically Lestat's story... somehow I've gotten *sucked* in ha ha
  3. Glad to see you back!I was going to ask you if you knew his last words, but that might spoil it! It was really cool
  4. On Friday 4th I read: 30 pages in Random Acts of Senseless Violence by Jack Womack 60 pages in The Vampire Lestat total= 100
  5. I liked the movie, til I read the book! I am keeping with Random Acts, your reading it inspired me How was The Radley's? I am also now reading Vampire Lestat, I couldn't help myself
  6. Hey! I just saw you post! Was thinking about you the other day, just random how are you? Read anything good lately?
  7. Just thought I'd say Hi
  8. OMG I just finished Interview with a Vampire and it was one of the best books of the year for me! I've never read it before and I've gone directly to Vampire Lestat. I can't tell if they are an easy read or just that good! BTW- It is NOTHING like the movie!
  9. Do you ever miss TV? I mean, like the news, Jeopardy (lol) etc.
  10. I loved Inside Out... I can't decide if I liked it better or Home better!
  11. I thought you weren't supposed to talk on a phone while on a bike? Should I even ask what the Coca-Cola Christmas truck is?? Today, I bought a slew of presents from Amazon, they should start arriving on Monday. We also bought wrapping paper, pretty ones with Santa's on them and a red one with Candy Canes. My daughter is getting an IPad Mini for her big present from Santa (they use them in school), but I am going to wrap it in a huge box One more present and we are done!
  12. Oh my it was good. I can't believe what they did to it in the movie adaptation I was going to do the read a thon, but I started with Random Acts of Senseless Violence and it wasn't going so well. I wanted to read Nine and a Half Weeks, but it is only about 150 pages and was 9 dollars Plus, the whole sample was an introduction (I hate that). So now I am going to read the sample (and probably the book) to Vampire Lestat.
  13. I am fully excited! I hope to read some good stuff this weekend On course to finish Interview with a Vampire today.
  14. That's dedication Is that to be expected though?? October 14th is my brother's birthday And I am sure Santa will still visit even if you are naughty
  15. I love reading at night! I have 90 pages left in Interview with a Vampire... somehow I've gotten committed to the whole series.
  16. We had a mass shooting about 8-9 hours from here. 14 people are dead, 17 are wounded. It was a center that helped the disabled and mentally ill find shelter and homes, but we just recently had a mass shooting on Friday at a Planned Parenthood (which provides contraception and abortion). This is the deadliest shooting in 3 years in California. There were multiple shooters, one still might still be on the run. It is 1700 and this has been live on TV since 1100.
  17. I've wanted to watch or read Wolf Hall for a long time! I am sorry, but I had to abandon Station Eleven, and on a friend's that I haven't read The Vampire Chronicles, I picked up Interview with a Vampire. I can not believe how different it is from the movie
  18. I will preserver! 150 some odd pages left though,
  19. Ya I meant to read that this year and didn't get to it... glad to hear its good. On the other hand, I am still struggling with Station Eleven, at 50%
  20. That's why I couldn't finish it. But this sounds like sort of a departure for Rowell?
  21. I will be finished with Station Eleven definitely by the 4th. For the read a thon, I plan on reading Nine and a Half Weeks, then it will be a toss up between Random Acts of Senseless Violence by Jack Womack or A Long Walk to Water by Linda See Park... about 2 kids living in Sudan.
  22. I will read anything Lee Child writes (Jack Reacher series). Also, Catherine Ryan Hyde is very reliable (although, not, I guess her short stories )
  23. I am glad everything turned out ok! I'm so sorry, its like, the last thing you need! I know, right? Tomorrow is December 1st! I "cyber shop" too, Amazon is my best friend
