It's hard for me to pick a favorite "horror" book, but after much consideration, it must be something from Poppy Z Bright. Maybe Lost Souls or Wormwood. True splatterpunk.
-
I'm reading Books of Blood #1 too! I had to skip ahead read The Yattering and Jack- so good! I have the graphic novel (took me forver to find and a pretty penny) but never read it.

On to Clive Barker then! -
Should I keep reading... The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood

Ya, I think you're right... I'm still in a Divergent/ Allegiant mindset. -
Just in from seeing The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug. I'm not into fantasy, but I liked Lord of the Rings and all. This one was relly good- my favorite so far. I love his soundtracks!
-
The Handmaid's Tale? I'm 100 pages in (its only 320 pages) and I'm just not feeling it. Its on my TBR list for 2014 and I was really looking forward to it. Started Clive Barker's Books of Blood #1 (also on TBR 2014) and am hooked. Could probably read both, but I'd like to know if The Handmaid's Tale is worth finishing.

Starting on my 2014 TBR list with Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale.

Clive has a special shelf in my bookcase I even went to two of his signings. Check out The Thief of Always,

I Liked it, thought it was good, but then I am a Quentin Tarantino fan. If you don't like violence, it may be too much for you.
-
Finished Allegiant... what a ride!

Perks of being a Wallflower and Uncle Tom's Cabin are two of my favorite books. I can highly recommend Divergent, as I am on the last book and have devoured these in a matter of DAYS. Which one are you looking forward to the most?

I have a Paperwhite, do I need a Fire?
Anna Begins replied to Anna Begins's topic in Audiobooks & eBooks
Thanks for the input, I was really hoping Id get tons of replies telling me I really need one How much is Prime? You sound like it's worth it- I've always wanted to try it. -
Saw American Hustle with Jennifer Lawrence, Christian Bale (yum) and Amy Adams (who was GREAT) last night. All in all: 4/5

OOOOHH! You are so lucky! I want to re read The Stand, don't know if it will happen this year or not. have you read it before or is it new to you?
-
Are you glad you stuck with it?
-
That's pretty much my question. I am in love with them and was wondering if I need it. On one hand, its nice to have it all together in one device, but I have a Surface Tablet, so I don't think I can justify doing that. On the other, I kinda like having a separate kindle and a separate computer, especially because both are small and my tablet has a physical keyboard (that I love) Anyway, did anyone have a paperwhite and moved on to a Fire? Any reason why?

Veronica Roth's Allegiant will be my final book of 2013, I am glad to finish the series, as I wanted to start with a fresh book off my TBR list for the New Year. Love the series, not so hot on Allegiant as I was with Divergent and Insurgent (which I liked the best, but I love the middles in trilogies).
-
Started the Divergent series on the 21st, got hooked, stayed up reding on Christmas til 3m and now I'm on Allegiant.
-
Tips on what book to read next?
Anna Begins replied to KenzGobee's topic in Book Search and Reading Recommendations
