  1. Ya, I could do that, I might switch off, but I am so into the series (Maze Runner). I don't want to get thrown off track! Then again, I don't have much of The Humans left... see? I'm all in a confused mess I should've never switched yesterday
  2. Good for you! And for the good health too! Did you know if you get tattoo's you can't give blood in the US? I usually end up with one a year so I can't give And that is super cool about the party/ gifts/ discounts... just for moving there?? I think I need to seek out this Sweden
  3. Wow- Kylie, you totally rock! Gaia- I might take you up on the spoilers for The Kill Order, I will have to decide after The Death Cure!
  4. Oooh- are you an Atwood fan?? Have you read any of her other novels? I will be returning to The Scorch Trials today, because curiosity is killing the cat over here. I've just got to find out what happens. But now I am curious about the end of The Humans as well! Such a dilemma, reading two fab books at once!
  5. Just saw you on, briefly... have you finished For Whom the Bell Tolls yet? Are you liking it?
  6. Ya see, it goes quick! I did about the same yesterday. What Chapter are you on? I'm holding off today to read The Humans (I started it during Novembers read a thon), so tomorrow, we should be roughly in the same place
  7. I am taking a short break today from The Scorch Trials to go back and perhaps finish Matt Haig's The Humans. I got to 60% during November's read a thon (I did terrible), but gave it up for the Maze Runner read. I'm happy to be back to it, I so enjoyed what I had read so far.
  8. Oh good, I'm glad I didn't offend. I loved it. Just couldn't read it Hence, the wonderful audiobook. Although, by the end of Trainspotting, I did learn more and was able to read certain parts on my own. edit: I love the title The Man who Mistook his wife for a Hat
  9. Ya know, I knew that while recommending it, but it just seemed to fit the idea of the posters want. It was SO hard for me to get through (although you and Alexi might not think so! I hope you weren't offended ).
  10. Look for Different Seasons. It is a collection of 4 novellas, but Shawshank and The Body (which became Stand By Me) are both in there (and are not horror). Also included are Apt Pupil which you would probably like, intriguing and creepy. I can't for the life of me remember The Breathing Method though. They all went pretty fast for me. They are about 100- 200 pages long each.
  11. Yes, I would say it deserves a spot on the TBR... quite enjoyable. As is the sequel. Haven't gotten to the 3rd or prequel yet, but hope to finish by Thanksgiving (the 27th), so I can start some new books before the year is over- I want to read A Time to Kill by John Grisham and Revival by King. And I will stick A Christmas Carol in December somewhere! Perhaps the Read a thon.
  12. He might even cry.
  13. I've seen it enough to watch it in bed while falling asleep lol After The Fault in Our Stars, I'm beginning to think I will watch ANYTHING with Shailene Woodley in it! She was just at the Hollywood Film Awards ceremony, where she won an award for TFiOS. "At 16 years old, [my character] recognizes it's not about how long a life we lead or the mark we leave on the world that matters,” Woodley said after receiving the Hollywood Breakout Performance Actress award. “It's about simple things like gratitude and not taking anything for granted." She was awesome!
  14. Ouch!! Now I am even more hesitant to read it!! But, you know me, I am sure I won't be able to resist
  15. Taking Shailene Woodley and to bed with me tonight.
  16. My eyes are burning I've been reading The Scorch Trials so long! It's good, but I must retire at Chapter 42... til tomorrow my friend. Good night, all.
  17. We went out for Mexican fajitas tonight... at a small restaurant by my house. Just some Spanish rice, refried beans, some strips of steak and chicken with onion and whole garlic, a little shredded cheese in a handmade warm tortilla- yum!!
  18. I think you'll like it, it goes pretty fast. I've spent some time with it today and am nearly 1/2 through. IMO it's a lot more intense than Maze Runner.
  19. My top 5 of all time for sure, if not my top 3.
  20. Can't wait to hear how it turns out/ how you like it. I am about 1/3 of the way, hoping for 1/2 today, through The Scorch Trials. By the way I am going through the Maze Runner series, I might actually get to Revival this year! Happy reading!
  21. Devi- are you going to continue with the rest? I wish it had more to do with Thomas, I am pretty involved with these characters!
  22. Oh Goodlie- we are almost the same place- I just started Scorch Trials yesterday.
  23. Did you like Jennifer Lawrence?
  24. Ditto that, his books are always so pricey.
  25. Trainspotting. Irvine Welsh. And good luck, I needed the audiobook for that one.
